inserting welshness into my day

WelshBride-ScottishGroom, 13 November, 2010 at 17:06 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hey all Smiley smile ive been so caught up in making sure there is enough scottish things for my H2B that i now feel there isnt any hint of welsh? Although i am getting married in a welsh castle in the welsh hills.. is this enough? they dont need to be major things, subtle hints would be nice, im just stumped!

im probably just finding problems to give me something to do!! xxx

    Hiya

Where abouts you getting married (a valleys girl myself ?)

How about introducing a Wlesh hymn/song into the ceremony - We had Calon Lan as I just love that hymn, we had Penderyn Whisky/Gin/Vodka favours as the distillery is opposite the reception venue. You could also think of Welsh Cakes as favours.

When are you getting married? Could always add daffodils or something into the flowers? We also had a Welsh Dragon on the back of our invitations. Couldn't resist them! hehe

    Nat

Tie a welsh love spoon into your bouquet?!

My OH has welsh roots, so we got him a welsh kilt, but how about your welsh tartan in a garter?

What about the wooden spoons for favours? I don't know how much they would be though... Or you could do something with the welsh and scottish flags...

I'm doing welsh spoons as my favours- they range in price depending on size/detail/quality etc. but start from about £1.20 upwards.

Do any of your family speak Welsh? If so how about having a Love quote in Welsh on the back of the Invitation or Order of Service?
