Inspired by Ali,,,,, how did you meet your H2B???

I had split with my ex in oct.05 and in Jan 06 one of my friends suggested I register @ faceparty...well, it seemed to be full of 16 years olds wanting 'an older lady'. I met a few guys...some of them were scarier than scary...

But then I met OH, we chatted via text & email for 3 weeks then we met up...we just seemed to click and you couldn't get anyone as polar opposite to my ex than H2B...which is good!

His parents still think we met through friends and my parents thought it was very exciting that we met on t'interweb...I presuming his parents will find out where we met on our wedding day...it's bound to be in one of the speeches ?

I met mine on holiday in turkey in a bar.. both drunk.. very classy! We met up for the rest of the holiday and i went to his house 2 weeks later and we've been together ever since. x

I was in a bar for what was supposed to be "chilled out" Sunday night drinks with a few friends, and H2B and his friend happened to be there too. His friend started chatting up my best friend, and I took no notice and went and sat with my other friends. When I eventually went up to the bar to get another drink, H2B offered to pay for it. We got chatting and got on pretty well, a few drinks later we all decided it was time to move to a club and we ended up having a really fun night!

I remember him saying I had beautiful eyes, and then we had a little snog ? (who said flattery was the best way to win a girl round?! ?) then he asked for my number and we went on a date the following week. That was in summer 2005, 8 months later we were engaged, and we'll have been together 4 years this June.

We both worked for the same company but in different offices and one week we were sent on a team building exercise playing rounders!! We were on different teams and he was bowling against me when he hit me with the ball and broke my fingers! We had to sit in casualty for a few hours and we got on really well, he felt so bad because he had hurt me by accident and we just clicked and I knew right away he was special. We arranged a date for the following weekend and he ended up taking me away for the weekend and we've been together since ?

We both volenteered as adult instuctors with Army Cadets. He was seeing someone and although I fancied him we were just friends. I have to admit there were a few drunken kisses but that was it. Then he split with girlfriend and I was his first phone call. Apparently he fancied me too. Not sure if I was nasty by dating him three days after his split.

But anyway, I moved into his house. A year later I move to Yorkshire with him and one of his daughters and bought a lovely house. I'm three hundred miles from my friends and my Mum[:'(] which I hate because my mums the best ever (I may be biased)

Not romantic, not exciting but that's the way it went. My proposal wasn't great either. On our way to rememberance day parade in London. Driving down the M25 mid argument he says 'you want commitment then why don't we get married' I said 'Fine then!'.

Romance? What's romance?????????????

I used to work with my OH, we started of as friends, (even though I flirted like mad with him, but he never got the hint lol), when groups of us used to go to the pub after work on Friday's, then when I had a bad car accident and was off work for a month, think he must have realised that he had feelings for me, as he asked me out the following Friday, we moved in together 2 months later and brought our first house within 6 months, we are now on our 3rd house and have been together for 7 years.

We were both working as english language assistants in paris.

Long version as short as I can get it. I'll try not to confuse you either!!!!

My sister went to Uni where she ended up sharing halls with my husbands brother, while my dad and OH's mum were dropping off at start of term they got chatting andfound out they lived a few streets away from each other. So my dad and his mum started dating and then we were introduced. One night we spent a whole night sharing a bottle of Jack Daniels and 40 cigerettes and bascially opend our souls to each other. I lived with my dad at the time in Brighton whereas he lived in Ilford Essex, 3 weeks out of 4 he'd drive down to see me at the weekends and then payday I wouldthe train to his. My dad and his mum got engaged around the same time of us so we decided to have a joint wedding, however I had to cancel our part as I was posted to Bosnia with the TA.

We got married 6 months after my dad and his mum - yes you've read it right I'm married to my step-brother LOL Anyway I relocated to Essex after I was de-mobbed from Bosnia and bought a house together, our wedding day was bought forward as I found out I was pregnant with our first child so we had 4 weeks to organise everything. This is why 12 years later we're having our vows renewed in the Maldives in August and I get to wear a proper wedding dress at last LOL

I met my h2b via a dating website, all my friends where settling down. One drunken night they got me one it, my other friend had encouraged me prior to this and I had a look and said nah not yet. Felt quite embrassed at 1st. I joined 2 sites and met 3 lads 2 on 1 and 1 on the other all very weird and never went anywhere. I knew h2b had been checking out my profile a few times prior to contacting me as it would tell some one has been looking at you. He finally got in touch with me, and I looked at him and thought OK. Yeah I will get in touch, so I did. We talked for a month, he then went on holiday and phoned me and texted me everyday whilst he was golfing in Ireland.

We then met on the 14th July, at pub which was half way. I actually talked to my friend all the way, as to be fair this is the 1st guy I was having butterflys over. I even drove round the about 3 times prior to driving into the car park. When I saw him thought OK not bad missing a couple of teath, which sadly is rugby related ( he hates them and trying to sort for wedding) but he had a nice bum which is still rather nice as certain jeans compliment them ?

It took us a while to meet again, but we did I so wanted for him to kiss me then. But he did hold my hand across the table bless. He finally kissed me on our date, then I knew in about the October he was trying to tell me he loved me. But he couldn't do it as has been hurt the past so on bonfire night I told him.

We bought our house 2 years later and got engaged last August to be married this August.

He had been moaning to a co worker that he couldn't meet any nice women and I had also been moaning to my manager about being single, the co worker and manager are close friends and so set us up! Went on our first date on the monday night and I finally rolled in at 3.30am, he text me at 9am the tuesday and that was it!

Facebook - I knew one of his friends but not him, he saw my picture, liked what he saw and poked me- the rest as they say is history- like others have said - the web is a wonderful thing!

I used to work with H2B, but we didn't get together til 2 months after I'd left! We went out for a drink, just to have a chat, and we've been together 8 years now!

My H2B is my best friends wee brother. We met when I was 17 and he was 14, got together a year later, moved in had 3 kids, ten tears later we finally getting round to getting married lol

He was dating a friend of mine when we were all 14 and at the same school. Fast forward to second year a level when we both got dumped around christmas time and got together soon after. In fact it was nine days between my relationship breaking up and me getting with OH who i'm now engaged to (sLut? me? naaaah!) I'd fancied him for ages before though!

He dated my best friend for about 6 weeks. They remained friends after. I got with h2b about 6 months after they split. Was a bit weird at first but the 4 of us (inc. Her now husband) are really good friends, even though they live in NL. I was her CBM on 5th Sept last year, caught her BQ and now she will be mine on 5th Sept this year! I do wish I had a nicer story to tell, but it could be a lot worse I guess!

I knocked him flying and used him as a crash mat.Then I blanked him the next time cos he had had a haircut.

It was his own fault he fell over tho.As it was his idea.

M2B and I met down the beach when I was 14 and he was 15. Got together 5 years after this and rest, as they say, is history.

His brother, who I was great friends with, introduced us. I was 14, Mr ooh la la was 17. Started "going out" at 14, but was a good girl until my 16th ( ? ). Got a lot of stick from teachers and our peers. My Mum was a bit funny for a while too.

People who know me, often say that it's odd I had a "proper" boyfriend at such a young age, as I wasn't one who 'put-it-about!' We just became really good friends.

As seems to be common with all the other posts, the rest is history!!

Me too! I used to work with mine and we were always arguing! He was a manager but not my direct line manager and reported me to his boss once as I refused to do work for him lol

2 months after I left I met up with old colleagues including him and the rest, as they say, is history!

We met in America, working in the same summer camp! That was 7 years ago now, time flies!!!x

I meet my h2b at school. he was the popular boy but we never spoke apart from wen i accidently kicked him in the hallway.

then after school finished, i was working my saturday job (in a butchers) when he rang me - he had got my number from his girlfriend at the time telling her it was for a friend. we chatted and he asked me to the pictures. i said i could go but after work the next week.

so the next week i was working in the butchers and looking out of the window i saw him with four friends walking down the high street. I hadnt told him exactly wat shop i worked in (cos i was embaressed)

but i was so shocked i called out his name really loud and instantly ducked behind the counter, it didnt work, they saw me and came in to chat. i spent the whole time i didnt say a word to him i didnt even look at him i just chatted to his friend. that day i just happened to be covered in blood . . . . . . . nice.

but it all ended happy ever after lol

Mr McB is a friend of my ex-boyfriend. We got together 6 months after me and the other guy had split (although I will admit to having a bit of an eye for him before that). Caused a fair amount of tension within our group of friends for about another 6 months. But, I knew from the start it was something special and was worth the hassle. We started living together after 2 1/2 years and talked about marriage at about the same time. Got officially engaged in January and getting married 1st November this year. We have been together for just over 3 years.

Can't wait to be his wife!

We met at work. Started off as friends, i was trying to fix H up with my sister who had a horrible boyfriend at the time. Went out with H as friends a few times with work colleagues and danced and generally just had a laugh together. Then one night i asked why he didn't fancy my sister and he said that it was because he fancied me not her. I kissed him and the rest as they say is history.

I split from a 5 year relationship in aug 07 and felt like I'd lost my true best friend. So I signed up to Bebo and Facebook to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. In early October 07 my H2B found me on Bebo through one of his work friends that I knew. He left me a message just saying hello (because he'd had a drink and felt confident he says lol)

I wasn't sure if I should reply when I first saw it but then I thought that's why I had joined! So I replied and we started chatting but I was going on a break to London for a few days so I took a big risk and left him my Mobile Number. It's the best risk I ever took ?

He moved in with me Feb 08 and we got engaged Aug 08 and the big day is Dec09. I so can't wait!!

I met mine thru a dating site thru the mobiles weird but crazy he found me and we started talking then we met 4 weeks later then didnt see each other for ages but when we met 2nd time round my heart melted and we been inseperable ever since . He was traditional when he proposed he asked my dad before he asked me he is amazing xx even better he is a toyboy lol x

At the end of the night, after giving me all my measurements (down to my cup size!) and a few snogs, he put his business card in my hand, I rang him the next day after quite a few conversations with my friends telling me to go for it as I was a bit worried about his reputation after the whole measurement thing, we met the following Monday and as the story goes....the rest is history. ?

I met my h2b in romania whilst on a skiing holiday there, he isnt romanian which is what everybody asks he was on holiday too, we were kind of meant to meet on this hol if you get what i mean, we were sat across from each other on the aeroplane, his room was straight across from ours and we both went down for dinner together at the same time. The day we got together-kissed! (wednesday) i didnt realise but my nan died, before i left to go on holiday she told me she would find me my handsome prince and i believe to this day she did ! ?

In a dodgy nightlub in a dodgyer town. he'd never been to the nightclub before, it was my thurs fri sat sun night student haunt . roll on a few vodkas and a drunken snog.

6 years and one 6 month break up later we've both grown up and are getting married in september and i cant wait!!!

I was staying with a ffriend she rescued after I'd taken another beating from my then husband.....sorry if it upsets anyone. Her daughters husbands best friend is a solicitor so they sent him over to talk me through my options...so the next night HE turns up. of course i dont give him a second look. men are the last things on my mind but a few months on Im settled in my new home when he calls to ask how things are going. to tell the truth I couldnt even remember what he looked like but it turned out hed been asking my friend about me o when she thought the time was right she instigated a date and the rest as they say....is history..........

I have known my H2B since I was 5 met him at infants school, we were always friends and nothing else (inspite of his subtle hints over the years).

Then last year I finally opened my eyes realised what was in front of me and here we are (so it has only take me 24 years to realise something he claims to have knwn since we were small)!

H was a climbing instructor at the centre I used to train at. I was engaged to someone else at the time so we were friends for about 4 years. When I finally saw my ex for the tw@t he was we split up and h and I got together. Thing is, by that point we we living 300miles apart (me in Edinburgh and him S Wales) and he was living with someone else! In the end I ended up driving down to S Wales with a transit van overnight and packing all his stuff into it whilst his girlfriend was at work (She was a bit psycho so he decided not to tell her before hand - not nice for her but wasn't my decision to make!). We got married 3 years later and are now expecting our first child!
