Interview - can I bring my CV with me?

Tulips, 15 April, 2008 at 12:09 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

I have an interview tomorrow and wonder if it would be acceptable for me to bring my CV with me... There is quite a lot of information and I worry I may forget the crucial info when under pressure.... I will be expected to know my CV inside out, won't I?

I always take a copy of my CV to interviews. I try not to refer to it as if it's reminding me of something, more point out bits of it that specifically refer to what they're asking, as I answer them.

    Does that make sense? ?

I always take mine with me as you said, it's hard to remember everything. Don't think I've referred to it unless I've been filling in a form.

    Good luck️??

Blimey - now I've never taken my CV with me to an interview. But perhaps it depends on the kind of job you're going for? Whenever I've been to an interview, the interviewer(s) have always had a copy of my CV beforehand, and their questions relate to the experience I've outlined there - so I've not needed to refer to it.

Good luck with the job, Tulip, what's the role you're looking for?

Thank you everyone. I'm going for an exec PA role in Merchant Banking (Docklands)..... Really excited about it, but also a little nervous. Well, all I can do is try and see what happens...!

You should always bring your CV to interview, and a note pad & pen with any questions you may want to ask, and to take notes of what the role is about/package etc.
