Hi everyone.

I've just signed up on here today and wanted to say a quick hello. The H2B and I have booked a ceremony in Las Vegas at the Little White Chapel for 4th August 2014. Yes, yes, I know it's a bit tacky but it started as a joke 6 years ago and it feels wrong to do it any other way now.

We've booked/bought:

-The ceremony, with Elvis to serenade.

-My wedding ring.

-A 1950's clutch bag.

-My shoes.

-Our wedding favours.

-My sunglasses (lolita style hearts that I've stuck 900 1.8mm swarovzki crystals to - very Dita Von Teese).

I'm more excited than I should be, as is my mum. And that's about it really. Any tips on planning/marriage abroad would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome and congratulations!

You know what it's your wedding and your choice - it's special to you and your h2b and that's all that matters, it'd be boring if we all had the same ideas for our weddings.

Plus - you get to go to LAS VEGAS - jealous!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

I think my mum's a but gutted that I'm not doing the whole big wedding thing but I can't wait I'm not a traditionally smushy sort of girl, neither is H2B, we're going to pin the 'Ellie' badge from Disney's 'Up' to eachother after the rings during the ceremony. It's just going to be a bit of a fun, non-traditional day. I am a little concerned about my make-up and hair-do melting in the desert heat in the middle of August though :-l

Oo I've just seen this post- how exciting!

My step sister married in vegas a few years ago and had a live Web feed beamed over here for family and friends as it was just the two of them out there. I thought it was a great idea :0) xx

I have wedding envy! I always joked I wanted to run away to Vegas and have Elvis and the more family and friends 'offer their help' the more promising it sounds!
