Introduction and opinions needed

Fussy Galore, 22 February, 2009 at 18:47 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 2

Hello I’m Fussy and I am about to join WW and I think I will be needing some help and support over the next wee while and thought I would pop over here to say hello!

I have never done the plan before but have done SW a few times before. I have always lost on SW but put the weight back on ( and more generally!)

I’m looking at doing WW because I hope it will really change my eating patterns and with SW I tended to fill up on huge portions of free foods (pasta/rice/mash etc) so I was still hugely overeating!

I just wanted to check what people thought about the pros and cons of SW vs WW ..

I have a lot to lose ( about 7stone) so I want to have a plan I can enjoy and still go out occasionally.. one of the good things about SW was being able to eat as much fruite as you wanted.. is it the same on WW?

Thanks

F

    Hello there!

I've only been doing WW for the past 7 weeks although this will be my 3rd time of doing it...I find it quite easy to follow and it fits in nicely with my lifestyle. I think it's good as it promotes what should be at the heart of every good diet - balance. There aren't any "free" fruits but there are a large quantity of different types of vegetables which you can use to pad out your meals and which are free (0 points) such as carrots, onions, mushrooms, butternut squash, tomatoes. The focus seems to have shifted slightly from the last time I joined as now there is an emphasis on "filling foods" which are just foods which make you feel satisfied for longer e.g wholemeal bread/ rice which makes sense.ETA there is a book you can buy which has different food chains in it and the food they sell already pointed or if you join their e-source online there is an online tracker with a similar list, apologies if this is all jargon so far!

Having said all of this I've never done SW so can't really comment on how it compares.

If you need the structure of a 'diet' WW would get my vote simply because it doesn't restrict you from having anything on a day to day basis.
