Snuggle-bum, 6 March, 2011 at 13:31 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hey Girlies ( & Boys..)

I'm just sorting out the rest of my invitations as i need to get my ass into gear ?

What information have you put in your invites?

At the minute I have...The Venue address, website and phone number, Local Taxi numbers, gift list info and accomodation, is that everything i need??

H2b has put 18...YES 18 different hotels on the info, surely i don't need that many????

Thank you ?

Wow - 18 really is far too many. You want to narrow it down to 2/3 that are different budgets that you would stay in yourself! I narrowed down by looking at reviews on trip advisor too!

We have accomodation info (including the fact that our hotel had a reduced rate and our wedding coordinators contact details for people to book at that rate). We have also given another hotel within walking distance. After that people can look up places themselves (we are near Stratford-upon-Avon so there is a HUGE amount of choice.

We have one short sentence about a gift list.

Directions and small map (including full address of hotel we are getting married at).

Our contact telephone number should they have any more questions (we thought this would mean they can get in touch with us should we have left anything off that is something they want to know).

Finally, it has an rsvp card included which states date to reply by, and asks about dietary requirements.

Agree, 18 is FAR too many choices of hotels. That many wouldnt have fitted on my invites anyway. I put 3 hotels, one of which we are staying in. I added that I realised not everyone would be staying in the same hotel (due to cost & booking out), but we would organise to meet those that were staying nearby for breakfast the next day at a beachside cafe. (Wedding in Sydney).

I also added on the invite that the chapel is strict about confetti, petals, rice or anything similar & to NOT bring any at all. (We are providing bubbles for everyone to blow if they want).

I'll delete them by accident ?

I do have an RSVP for dietary requirements and so forth, but sounds like i have everything i need BUT I will put all our contact details in again so thank you for that ?

Postcodes for satnav users, and local maps for those that don't have one?

Public transport information (ie get the 24 bus from the rail station and get off at X stop)?

    Lol 18!!

This is the back of my day invites -

I had to add carparking else it would have been a nightmare for guests as the venue has no parking facilities and isn't local so people would have got lost or got locked in carparks lol

This is the back of my Evening invites, I didn't bother with hotels one these -
