invitation inserts?

missmac13, 6 January, 2013 at 13:56 Posted on Planning 0 11

A quick question for all the DIY people when making your inserts or invitations did you use any specific computer program. I have basic Microsoft office that came with my comp. The problem I am having is I have downloaded inserts from wedding chicks played around with them a bit on paint. I am having a bit of a nightmare trying to resize them for my inserts. Any suggestions please. Many Thanks Laura x

I used publisher. I have the full version but you can download a free trial that you can use for a while.

I just used standard MS Office too. But I did download some fancy fonts from the Internet - there are loads of sites where you can download then for free.

I just used open office, the free version of MS office, downloaded a load of free script fonts from fontspace.com and away to go. Mine are square, and I changed it to landscape, and typed it all out. Used the rulers to make sure it wasn't too wide.

Thanks everyone I think I will have to think of something else. I must be doing something wrong downloading the publisher because it is still saying three hours to download.

I downloaded a font and when I went to type it came out all jibberish??

I am trying to add if a seat on the bus would be required for numbers and resize it 130mm x 100mm. Does anyone know how to to this. Sorry for being so daft. ?

Do you mean a bit like this?

Very rough as I don't know what the exact fonts are.

    No worries!

I inserted the image into publisher and used word art to add the additional text etc. Then grouped it all together and saved it as an image. Happy to do it for you if you need something different. Always happy to lend a hand.

Of course I don't mind. If you click on it it should take you to the image file. Just right click and save.
