Invitation Making getting stressed now lol

BrogstarBride, 18 April, 2012 at 13:33 Posted on Planning 0 7

Ok so i thought it would be a good idea to make my own invitations to save money etc and i want them to be personal. OH says im going to get bored after making the first one as i have a short attention span lol but i WILL prove him wrong!

So i have bought my plain Pocketfold Invitations but i am struggling as to where to find all the little bits and sticky stuff you put on them, ribbon, buckles etc!!

And stamps that say "wedding invitation" and the little ink pad things lol

Have you looked in craft shops?

http://www.bakerross.co.uk/ may also have something. I use it mainly for crafts with kids and teenagers but worth a look.

A lot of people on here have bought stuff at Hobbycraft (not got one near me so can't comment on quality/range/price). The Range also do loads of bits.

Please don't stress. It's great fun making stationery.

They key is to get your design right on paper first. Once that is ok, you can start looking for specific things. It's so easy to become overwhelmed when looking at websites or craft shops. I still feel that way when I start browsing for inspiration. My head becomes full of ideas and if I don't write them down quickly, I forget them!!
