Invitations...

sara.jo, 1 September, 2010 at 14:46 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hello,

Does anyone know where to get pocketfolds from, so I can make them up myself? I can't seem to find them for a reasonable price anywhere - are they normally the more expensive choice?

I really like the style of them, and the fact you can incorporate all the needed info (map, places to stay etc) in one handy pocket. If anyone has any good ideas, please feel free to let me know - the more help the better!

xx

    Hi

    Have you tried https://www.pdacardandcraft.co.uk/card-wallets-and-pocketfolds.html?

They do loads of different sized ones. Not seen the quality though as I usually make them myself but they'd be your best bet.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

    Nat

I've used PDA's pocketfolds for bespoke orders when I've needed custom sizes, and they are OK but you have to seal them up yourself, and you seldom get the same exact fit as pre-made ones. I would never make my own, and seldom buy DIY ones tbh unless I really have to - but then I was a stationer so the quality I provided to paying customers was a big thing for me.

The Wedding Crafter, or PocketInvitationCompany are two excellent companies... you do pay a bit more for really good quality pocketfolds, but I think you get what you pay for...

But i do tend to use PDA for all my inserts which they will cut to the exact size you need ... : )

I have been after these also - can get 10 blank white on Ebay for £8.50.

Am considering making my own by buying a sample, taking it apart and using it as a template to make them.

    Hi,

I've been looking at Pure Invitation for pocketfolds, it's very straight forward as it takes you through step by step and then you can order extra sheets for inserts too. I had them send me some samples of their card and it was a lovely pearly finish and seemed quite a good price. I also looked at PDA but was baffled by the whole set up.

Although i've now been swayed to Vista print after realising if I sacked off the pocket fold idea I could have all my stationary to match just by tweaking some of the designs, i.e turn the folded thank you cards into day invites and use a save the date card as a direction insert and a business card as a guest list insert, the save the date card is also being used as the evening invite, there are place cards, and then the wedding programme is going to be my table numbers, all matching! Sorry got a little over excited when I realised I would be able to get EVERYTHING for around £60! Bloody love stationary (yes I realise that is sad ? x

I ordered samples from here and love them. I read about the company in a wedding magazine. If you email them they are really helpful with good service. I am hoping to finalise my order at the weekend so I can start making them :-)

I am still debating on the progam to design them in though.
