Hi I'm getting married in June next year and was wondering when to send the invitations out? I've not done save the date as told most people when it is! Thanks x

Is it a Saturday? If so (and you don't have many people who work weekends) then about February would be fine.

I got married in March 2012 and didn't send save the dates but sent my invitations about 6 months before with an RSVP for 3 months before.

Agree with Kharv. We got married on 1st June this year and sent our invitations out mid-Feb with an RSVP date of the 8th April. That gave us plenty of time to do the table plan and confirm final numbers with the caterer.

I would say 6 months is fine, gives people who need to the chance to book time off work.

We are getting married end of May next year and are doing different phases of invitations. We both have family in Australia that we aren't sure if they'll be able to come so we're sending their invitations pretty soon to RSVP by Christmas so they have plenty of time to decide and start looking at flights. Then early in the new year we'll have a better idea of who else we can invite (our venue is quite small so how many Australians we have will make quite a big difference!) and will probably do the other ones in Feb.

    Hi there

Usually 3-6 months is the average time to send out invites. It really depends upon the number of people attending and if any guests will be coming from abroad. They would obviously need more notice to book flights etc. If your wedding is small and most people already know about it then a shorter time of 3 months would be sufficient. Do make sure you do not leave your RSVP date too late as you will need to organise wedding breakfast stationery and possible order of service/order of the day and you would need to have accurate numbers and names.

Please let me know if I can be of any help.

Good luck with all your wedding arrangements!

    Samantha
