Hi, wondered if anyone could help. Me and my H2B are getting married in a church and i read somewhere that it is polite to send the minister and his wife an wedding invite. Can anybody give me any advice or have they done that?

Im certainly inviting our minister - not his wife though, but dont think shes goes to them anyways. So yes, it is the done thing. Some have them on the top table, to give grace, we are putting ours on the first table with other important people.

Hi,

We invited the Minister and his wife to ours and they both came - they only stayed for the meal though as they had their kids & grankids visiting. My mum is quite heavily involved with the Church so I'm not sure if that's why they came or if they go to them all.

We didn't. They are lovely, but my Dad is a vicar, and when he is invited feels obliged to go, even if he doesn't want to, and they wouldn't have known anyone else there.
