Invitations with menu choices

Mrs-S-to-be, 13 July, 2014 at 21:15 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi,

We are offering our guests a choice of starter, main and dessert, which they will need to select when they RSVP. It just occurred to me today as I was looking at invitations that I have no idea how this is laid out. One of my cousins will be with her OH and their 4 kids so can imagine it getting quite messy. Can anyone flash me theirs or point me in the direction of some examples? It seems difficult when there are multiple courses!

Thank you!

I had this problem, and so I ordered the invites with the time date and place info like any normal invertation and then used the same font as the invites to create a menu page that I would just put in the envelope then I printed menu reply slips, if there was 5 people included on the invertation then I would put in 5 slips.

    They went like this:

    Name:

    Main:

    desert:

    dietry needs:

Its pretty simple and worked for us as they would still have the pretty invertation and we would get the not so pretty but matching reply slips back. It's the only way I could think of doing it without the budget going over bored !

We had the same idea as above. It seems like the simplest way of organising it all.

We did a menu in the with invites with the options listed with A, B or C for each course. Then the RSVP cards have their names and boxes next to the courses for their choice.

We have a similar problem but yes, I think we are going for:

    Name.................................................

    Accept ( ) Decline ( )

    Starter: Fishcake ( ) Tartlet ( )

    Main: Chicken ( ) Pork ( )

    Vegetarian: ( )

Bit basic, but you get the idea Smiley smile

Edited to add: we are very lucky in that everyone coming to the day is a close friend or family member so if they wanted more information on what to have, or any other info, they can just ring me and I will make a note of it.

I think if you are having LOADS of people to the day (we're having max 60) then it becomes a bit more difficult!

For my RSVPs with menu options on the reverse, I use tick boxes.

The options for the starter, main course and desserts are down the left side with boxes four wide across with a space for names above the tick boxes.

    If this helps at all....

    xx

I've found a template to one with just the main course selection but you can do this for all courses:

Each of our courses was given a letter, A, B, C, D etc. The little ones menu for children under 11, who didn't want the adult menu, were given numbers. On the reverse of the RSVP card I laid it out as follows but each card was individually printed on both sides.

    Starter Main Desert

    John _____ ____ _____

    Jane _____ ____ _____

    Harry _____ ____ _____

    Sally _____ ____ _____

With a clear instruction on the menu sheet to select one from each course and enter the relevant letter.
