invite wording

ebarton24, 4 April, 2013 at 21:41 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi there,

need some help with wording for our invites.

background details: only have space for 60 people for the day - we have a guest list of 60 people we are going to invite but if anyone of those 60 are unable to attend then we would like to send out a second hit to those who didnt make the first list (g.f and b.f partners and distant family members etc).

so far i have come up with:

Because we are limited on the number of guests for the day, please could we ask that if unfortunately you are unable to attend to let us know A.S.A.P

but not sure its..nice enough or...the right wording... i dunno...any help will be gratefully receieved!!

thanks guys!! Smiley smile

You don't need to mention it, just set an early RSVP date.

We're sending out day invitations first with an earlier RSVP date and will send evening invitations out a few weeks later after hopefully a lot of the daytime responses have been received. That way if anyone declines we can invite someone else without them knowing that they're a second choice.

We're doing this. We have a 'reserve list' for extra daytime guests if a few are unable to make it.
