So me being the clever person that i am decided to wash my bedsheets this morning.. so i rolled them all up forgetting that my phone was under my pillow. and stuck it all in the washing machine, the about 30 seconds later realising i couldn't find my phone! so que mad panic to try and open the washing machine door, and yup there it was soaking wet... it's now currently in a bag of rice! lol please wish me luck and that it actually works... good stories welcome hehe!

***Upadate***

So i left my phone in the rice for 48 hours (That was a killer lol)... It was some what dried out but unfort still not working Smiley sad... so i have had too get a new phone! But well worth trying the rice... It did work too some extent Smiley smile

    Ahhhhhh! Nightmare!

To make you feel better, I dropped my phone down a toilet a few years ago, after sitting on the radiator for a couple of hours it was fine.

    Fingers crossed for you

I was one of the unlucky ones. Mine went a little something like this..

me- 'H, have you seen my phone?'

H- 'How do you always manage to lose it in the house!?'

(Me listening and realising I could hear a dumdum... dumdum.. dumdum coming for the washing machine)

me- 'H.. I found my phone...'

I decided to go for Samsungs after that as I decided I was cursed with Iphones after losing one and breaking 2.. I'm on my 3rd Samsung so have realised that it is just me being super clumsy..

Argh how annoying! I did this with my digicam, but OH took it apart and left it to dry for a day and it still works, so hopefully you should be ok!

Hope it's ok, fingers crossed. I know people in work who've done this, some have been fine, others haven't been.

Mine didn't turn on at all but had practically been rolled around the drum for the whole cycle so probably explains why! Fingers crossed yours will be okay!

Leave it in the rice (preferably in an airing cupboard if you have one) for at least 3-4 days.

I dropped mine down the loo, tried to turn it on in a drunken state but Mr C did the rice thing and it was fine. Turning it on while wet fries the circuit boards so resist the temptation till fully dried out!

I didn't have an airing cupboard either, left the box on top of a radiator. Make sure you leave it there for a good few days and you should be ok.
