i-Phone - opinions please

Weather Girl, 19 August, 2009 at 16:42 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 11

I have been thinking for some time about getting an i-phone as I'm due an upgrade but just wondered how all of you with one get on with it. Is it easy to use? Have you had any problems? What's the internet access like, the music player, etc etc.

Any opinions would be very much appreciated.

Love it, best phone I've ever had. There a few annoyances but it's far outweighed by everything else. The battery life is a bit crap but I can live with that.

Mr Numbers has one and loves it even though the 3G coverage is a bit sketchy.

I wanted one but didn't want to go onto O2 as I would have to go on a £35 a month tariff. I negotiated with T-Mobile as I am a customer of theirs for years and got a G1 on a really good/cheap tariff. I love my G1, internet on it is brilliant and it has a slide out qwerty keyboard. Only downside is I am now addicted to Facebook and Hitched as I can check them every few minutes whereever I am.

I love it too. Will agree that the battery life is crap, it rns down when using any applications etc. But everything else is great, and I find it really easy to use.

I love mine. Only downside is battery life but no problem for me I just recharge every night. I get very good 3G access, great signal and love being able to access the internet anywhere. I'd definitely recommend them - best phone I've ever had.

    I love it.

Yes, battery needs recharging every night, yes texting takes some getting used to, but for what I use it for - lots of online stuff - it's fabulous and streets ahead of alternatives.

I love it. The internet has been great for me, very quick even on 3G or edge. Took me a few weeks to get used to the texting but now I find it very easy and intuitive as it guesses your words for you, saving you time. It's getting better as more apps become available and I like the fact that it's expandable compared to other phones where what you get is what you're stuck with. The only thing as people say is that the battery life is a bit dire. But I was always used to sticking my phone on charge every night anyway and I find that if you charge it every night you have no problem. The iPod part of it proved very useful on holiday and I quite often found myself lying on the beach, listening to music and playing games on one of the apps I'd downloaded. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I love mine. The OS upgrade fixed a few gripes that I had, and I love the applications. e.g. I'm currently training my ear with a music aural programme - an area I've always been weak in despite having studied music to quite a high level. I'm just having fun with this programme and wish I'd had it when I was at school. I've got some 'relaxation' apps on there too, which have been life savers in my last job.

The battery life is crap, that's true, but okay if you're in the habit of charging regularly.

I've heard they are great but are out of my price range. Instead I got a samsung jet phone which is fab and a new ipod nano for my music.

If you can get one at a decent price then go for it, otherwise look at the other options. ?
