Ipod Q

pippin, 9 October, 2008 at 11:14 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

For Christmas my husband wants an Ipod but i do not know anything about them. Plus i am on a limited budget. I know that there is an Ipod Nano which is around £109 but I also seen cheaper ones called shuffle are they any good or are they out dated now? I really do not have a clue about Ipods at all.

Thank you for any replies. Boss is in and out of office so i apologise if i do not answer straight away.

The new ipod nano is fab if your budget can stretch to it.

The problem with the shuffle is the smaller memory and storage. Does he just want a few songs or thousands? The nano also has ability to watch podcasts and videos, where as the shuffle is just music.

Disclaimer; I'm no technical wizzkid, I sturggle with my iphone still.

Thanks KB3 I think that he mainly wants it to download songs and listen to them in the car if that helps.

I would go for a nano. If he wants to use it in the car he'll need an iTrip as well (or similar). If you want your budget to stretch a bit further you could get an older model.

I'm not sure you can connect a shuffle to any mains speakers. That might be worth checking. Silly question, but have you looked at the apple website? I found it very useful when looking into the different ipods on offer.
