Are you ironing it folded up but not going over the edges, that's what I do to halve the job. Have you stopped mid-ironing to post this? ?

Lauraloo - please please come to my house and iron my duvet cover! I've been going to change our sheets for the last three days but I can't face the ironing...maybe I'll just put the clean one on crushed...

Nooooo! Don't put the clean one on crushed, it dilutes the joy of climbing into bed with lovely clean fresh bedding!

Put it off till tomorrow, then you can have a lovely Christmas Eve sleep in your nice new bedding.

I also love nicely ironed sheets, duvet covers and tablecloths, but my love for them is slightly less than my hate for ironing them - so they're often left wrinkly in the Caterpillar house.

I am a slob, thats what fitted sheets were made for, they self iron as you stretch them on the mattress, and as for ironing duvets, the tumble drier sorts that out for me.

I hhhhhhhate ironing. I wish i was able to pay someone who did like to do it. I think it is a hangover from my nannying days when i had to iron everything for the children including pants and socks. Now, that is weird.

oh no, to iron a fitted sheet would be freakish, I don't iron what I don't have to look at ? My tumbledrier won't get the clothes crease free enough to not iron them. Actually I don't really have to iron tablecloths. Hole can't you just pretty the table up with a runner and mats/large plates? It'd save the need for a cloth.

I must confess that my Christmas tablecloth is actually a flat sheet! i can't find any tablecloths so thought a sheet would do the job. £3 from Debenhams in the sale thank you very muchly. I just need to iron it now.....

I just have a table runner. It's probably horribly creased as I last washed and ironed it after using it months ago, but tough. I never iron duvets. I hate ironing and just can't be bothered.
