Do you iron your clothes before you put them away?

No, never. I iron something when I'm about to wear it. My mornings are spent rifling through my wardrobe looking for something that doesn't need ironing as I've left it too late to get the ironing board out.

I have owned the same iron for about 6 years.. Used it more times for Hama beads than actually ironing clothes. Luckily I don't work in an office environment so don't have any shirts/blouses. I don't even own an ironing board.

Last time I needed something ironing, I got my best friend's Mum to do it, bless her!

No, I never iron until i want to wear something, so always at the last minute when I am getting ready for work.

I may have a New Year resolution to iron everything as soon as it is washed so I am more organised.....

Why the hell would you iron pants?

I remember trying to iron my old suede effect curtains once. It was disastrous ?

Is that because someone else does it Tricks, or because you manage to buy clothes that don't need ironing?

Both. The H does it if it needs ironing. He's much better at the domestic goddess role.

My MIL almost died when she learnt I couldn't iron.

I steam in the morning shower.

Although we did buy a iron to go with the ironing board we found we got our first place together. OH proceeded to give ironing a shot and melted a football shirt onto it ?

About once a year... ? I only buy clothes that don't need ironing! Just hang everything up right when its drying and it looks fine Smiley smile

MIL hates ironing so bad that she sends her stuff out to an ironing lady!!

My Ex-MIL not only ironed socks and pants, but bed sheets and towels.

I moved out on my own 13 years ago and have never used an iron ? I just hang things so the creases fall out.

I have a cotton cardigan that has been hanging for the last 12 months hoping the creases will fall out. They still haven't so I guess I'll never wear it again ?

I always make sure I hang up my clothes straight out of the washing machine to dry, the creases don't have time to form then.

I iron most of my work clothes as quite a lot of them don't look very smart otherwise. I always do it before putting them away, as I would rather blitz it all in one go than have to do it a bit at a time.

If I'm feeling nice, I'll iron OH's work shirts too but he can do it himself if I'm too lazy.

I have never ironed, nor do I see the point in ironing, pants, socks, sheets, towels etc.

How? Did she have a supersized ironing board? Surely the sheets would hang all over the floor whilst ironing, in which case I'd prefer creased sheets!

The bottom sheet is tight so once it's on you can't see if it's ironed or not and I just tuck the duvet in the sides of the bed so it pulls that tight too.*

*When I can be bothered to make the bed that is.

    Same here ?

As my H says, the creases drop out after a few hours of wearing it anyway ?

I try to have one evening a week to iron. This is not always the case and therefore find myself getting up 10 minutes earlier to iron my things for work. Its very annoying ?

I'd rather get up 10 minutes earlier than spend a whole evening ironing.

If you tumble dry, clothes hardly need ironing.

I couldnt bare to stand and iron for hours on end. I iron as and when I need to, and although H isnt exactly domesticated, he does iron his own clothes which is great because if there is one chore I hate its the ironing!
