Im having a little toy plane on my cake for my o/h! Thats about it tho.

I did see a airplane themed wedding in a mag once where they had plane tickets as invitations and airport names as table names. You could get luggage tags as favours.

Think i've decided on the favours, luggage tags in the shape of planes for the men and butterflies for the women.

Bailey Wailey is having a butterfly theme and I've made her flowergirl hairbands and wands which feature butterflies with Swarovski Crystals. I'm sure she will pop on here at some point.

My friend had her reception in Airport House in croydon about 7 years ago! She had her tables named after planes! And had a picture of that plane on it's table number stand!

There are a couple of butterly weddings on here i think! Im not so sure about them!

I'm doing a butterfly wedding at the moment - just making it now actually.. hand-tied posy of hot pink vintage style roses, vanda orchids, blue and hot pink sweetpeas tied with royal blue ribbon and pink sparkly butterflies to finish. I love the idea of airport/planes as a theme. Makes me want to get married all over again just to try it! I LOVE planes! Maybe you could get the waiters to dress as pilots WOW!

    Hi

We have just ordered these for the Bridal Party males for o/h to give to them on the morning of the wedding. Thought this might help you out, this seller has a few different types of planes too.

I had made for a charity ball I helped organise once, loads of paper butterflies, we had a printer stamp all the butterfly shapes out, they were about 6" across, nice big ones, and we used every colour of paper we could find, and type from regualr paper to tissue paper. We partly raided his waste bins to get all the scraps out, as long as they were big enough for us, that was good enough. We had lots of papers with designs on them, kinda like wrapping paper, which looked really nice.

We had thousands done and it wasn't that expensive, and we then rigged them along with some small butterfies shaped confetti we found in Wilkinsons (I think) into 'confetti canons' which we hired.

The effect of them raining down, when we set it off, was magical. They seemed to float down just like butterflies.
No one knew it was coming except us organisers and it was a big suprise for all.

    I highly recommend it.

Just two pieces of advice. Go for the lighter weight papers, and also choose a butterflies design with rounded wings.

There's loads of butterfly idea things in the Confetti catalogue or on their website.

Yeah I know good old confetti, but the plane element is the hardest part.
