Is it just me?

Choods87, 21 May, 2015 at 14:39 Posted on Planning 0 7

With 113 days to go (yeah thanks for reminding me Hitched!) I'm starting to obsess over the smallest things - i.e. I spent a good hour and a half drawing a floor plan of the entire venue and marking out our routes to the different places (we have the hire of three different rooms for different things) in different colours - am I going mad? Has anyone else been doing similar things?!

Mostly I've been suupppperrrr relaxed, and I generally still am, but this little thing really made me become a bit of a bridezilla! ? xx

I worry about strange little things. Like my dad and I fitting through the entrance to The Grand Magazine together, or the corsages/button holes getting to everyone they're supposed to get to. (You'd think everyone attending my wedding was a child and I was the only adult!) I haven't gone quite as far as to draw a plan of the venue, but having said that, I can see why you did. Are you a wee it controlling sometimes? I am, I get anxious when things are out of my control. I think maybe all these little nurosies (sp) are down to that.

I am a control freak, i have drawn out the wedding breakfast room and planned where all the table will go, cake and everything else... I have been doing silly little things since planning started, every month i drawn out the budget and mark what have paid and what we have left, and when we need to pay the other bits... Im a tad bridezilla but nobody else knows this apart from my other half!

One thing thats driving me bonkers is waiting for my dress to arrive at the shop, gosh i could pull my hair out. I had a nightmare it wouldnt come on time. I think this just shows i cant handle things not being in my control.

No, I'm usually the most relaxed person! Everyone always says I'm so laid back that i'm horizontal so I really can't understand why I'm getting like this - maybe this is my inner personality trying to come out hehe!

The first thing I did once we got engaged was draw up about four spread sheets detailing different things that needed planning.

I wouldn't call it being a bridezilla. I'd call it being organised! :-)

Sounds exactly like something I'd do! The other day I nearly did a trial Sainsburys online shop for food for the morning of the wedding...which is in August 2016.

Ha ha I love these posts! I've been so controlling and obsessive about the silliest things - I expect we all have at some point! I'm sure after its all over we won't remember half of what we had on the day anyway. I think the most ridiculous thing I've stressed about is confetti cones. So pointless!

This is why I love hitched.. we can share our wedding planning OCD tendencies without getting embarrassed LOL

I have a wedding binder with dividers, a wedding notebook with dividers, several spreadsheets, separate email, pinterest and twitter wedding accounts ? xxx
