Is it me being cynical or is dont tell the bride....

I think it's probably edited to be a lot more dramatic , and they probably guide them with questions to get certain answers as well. but generally I would like to think because the day is so emotional - they little details in the end don't really matter. I have seen one where she replaced the dress though...

I agree with what tango said, it's probably all in the editing and the leading questions.

But, I do also think, as I mentioned on last weeks discussion, that I think girls get to emotional about things and what they think they want and the blokes are a bit more realistic. Last weeks girl said she that on the day would be comparing things to her dream venue but of course, on the day, some of the little things don't get noticed - even by the bride. It's all about marrying the person you love.

I know what you mean Karen.I think I have saw one where she looked really unhappy at what had been chosen for her. To be honest as much as I lobve my H2B there is no way I would let hm going and pick my wedding dress etc. I think a lot of it is real but the smiles etc are definately fake on occassions.

I know what you mean but I think that surely if you were going to do a program like that you would already have told your H2B what kind of wedding you would like, I know I would.

I think if someone came to my H2B and asked him to plan the wedding he would know most of what I like because I never stop going on about it, ha ha. x

I agree, my H2B knows exactly what I like, what dress size I am, the dress that I like etc....I mean if you go on this show you would speak to each other beforehand wouldn't you? I cant believe a couple would not talk to each other beforehand.

But anyway, I agree that it's been edited for more drama....but ohhhh it's so entertaining lol...the fit she had about her makeup was great!

In one of the first episodes I ever saw (last series), I noticed that the table decor and cutlery at the reception were different in different scenes.... I wonder if perhaps they get a second reception based on their own ideas anyway...? It must be staged - I mean who can invite friends to an unknown location at such short notice? I'm definitely sitting in the cynics camp! I am secretly addicted though....

My OH actually did pick my wedding dress ? I was looking through pics of dresses and he said 'I like that one', it was one I hadn't even bothered clicking on but when I did I fell in love with it. So he took me to a shop that stocked it to try it on (and some others...), I sent him away so he didn't see it on but it was absolutely perfect!!!
