I don't know if it's normal but it certainly happened to me. I have 2 days to go and if I ever see another ribbon it will be too soon. With 3 weeks to go I was so excited and full of keen, I even painted my bathroom!! 2 weeks to go, I did nothing. I moved stuff around and just could not face actually doin anything. I slept A LOT. This week has been a mix, some days I'm full of keen, other days I can't face it. Today is a can't face it day, which is a shame, as I HAVE to sort stuff out.

    You are not alone

Is it nerves? I don't know but I feel similar. At the moment, I am just bored of the whole thing Smiley smile I am at the stage where nothing really NEEDS to be done - all faff from here on in - so my natural tendency to procrastination and relentless optimism that everything will work out fine means that I have zero motivation. We have had a huge amount of non-wedding drama over the last few weeks and I feel a little like that has superceded any enjoyment I'm going to get out of the run up to the day. It's nobody's fault, just one of those things.

Maybe something will kick in soon. Like the cocaine Smiley smile

Its sounds to me im being normal lol,,,,,i think it all boils down to the fact that we've been waiting for this day for so long. its all sureal at first and i suppose u feel like its not going to arrive so ur more relaxed at first,,when u get down to the last couple of months things start to happen....dress fittings( the hoops for the lace up back snap off) picking up rings(having to wait till last minuet to get them back after being re-sized) meetings with vicar and confirming arrangements with cars photographers etc. i dont know about any of u but the last month is the most expensive. i forgot the little details like thank you gifts....now were struggling to find the perfect gift for best man & ushers. i just cant wait for our wedding to arrive & i now see it as this.......if i forgot it its not important Smiley smile) xx

Oh Ladies!!!! I'm sorry you are all suffering but I can't tell you how happy I was to read this thread!! With 17 days to go I feel exactly the same. I am totally utterly bored stiff of wedding planning!!!!

Can't offer advice to feel better, only to say you're not alone!!

    xx

Yay. pleased it's not just me. i told OH today that i wished we had done it all differently, and that if I hear one more person say something along the lines of "ooh, not long now, i bet you're all excited" I will tell them the truth, in that i wish it was all done and dusted and that I'm fed up totally with all of this wedding malarchy.

there, feel better for saying it.

Totally normal I think to feel this way.

I put so much effort into planning my own wedding that it kind of lost the "fun" element near the end

I actually got cold feet a couple of days before the wedding & started to question if I really did want to get married as we had already been together 7 years at this point.

We have now been married 7 years (together for 14) & I am still as much in love with him now.

So so happy to hear it's not just me!

I've been annoyed at myself that everyone around me seems to be getting so excited and I'm just so fed up! I've got so much work work to do that I can't even concentrate on the wedding and I'm so bored of it, I just want the day here and done with now!!

I know it will be a great day but I just wish I could squeee with everyone else!
