Is it ok for H2B to see BM dresses........?

Hmm my mom is being the same about this kinda stuff - she doesnt want him to see them, but we did agree to do everything together (other than my dress) and so I didn't have any problems with it....

...but then I got my dress at the weekend and it has these beautiful little flowers down it, which i'd llike to run though my bridesmaid dresses - I am also dropping hints to H2B that my dress is red, becasue he keeps asking about it and I know he doesn't actually want to know. (its all completely white)

So now I don't want him to see as it will ruin the suprise for H2B as obviously I need to make sure the BM / FG dresses are the same exact white and have the same flower design.

Sorry to double post but... if you are worried...

...ring the store ahead, ask them to put the dress behind the counter and explain why - they should then be descret and not let him see it - just make sure they don't remove the tag to scan it, incase it has to go back.

I guess it depends whether you trust H2B not to peep?

My OH has seen the BM dresses but, tbh, he might well not be able to pick them out of a line up by now as he has a rubbish memory for clothes!!

I wasn't worried about him seeing BM stuff but he hasnt seen any of my outfit including shoes/jewellery etc.

It doesn't matter about him seeing the BM dresses, i think its nice to involve your groom (wish mine was!).

Thanks girls - i really don't think it matters if he sees them - my mum just got me all funny about it!

he's seen the Coast dress cos i showed him what he needed to buy (he flipped out at the price so i tild him to butt out and just buy it - ha ha!) but i guess if we decided to go for that one i would just tell him we had decided on another one (which he hasn't seen) and then on the day he probably wouldn't remember if he'd seen it or not anyway cos it will look so different when it all comes together!!

my problem with H2B is that he LOVES shopping and would start giving his opinions on the BM dresses (and i seriously question his taste sometimes!!) so its probably safer that he remains well out of this one!!!!

i'll tell him to just buy it then forget all about all things bridesmaids!!!!

The only thing that my OH hasn't seen is my dress. He's seen everything else! I am so bad at keeping secrets.

I really think it's fine! Mum's eh! Mine wasn't involved at all in them but I showed him and then the girls have been parading round at ours trying theirs on and stuff - I didn't even think about it, but like autumn rose says he prob won't remember anyhow! x

When I received the bridesmaid dresses i wanted to show my hubby but he was the one who wanted to keep it a surprise!?

I'm involving mine in the process. I'll be finalising things with my bridesmaids but have given him the right of veto!

Same here. Mostly because I'm bad at keeping secrets but also because my flower girls are our nieces and they wanted to show themselves off to 'Uncle Phil' in their pretty dresses!

I personaly wouldnt mine to know. But i suppose its personal choice

My H2B has looked at BM dresses with me as I think it's important for him to have the input so he can match his cravat to the colours ? It's personal preference though.

Mine has seen mine. They bear no relation to my dress so I didn't see a problem with it.

My OH has decided he doesn't want to see anything including BM dresses, but i don't think it really matters to be honest with you. x

My OH has seen our bridesmaids dresses because they are a completely different colour to our original colour scheme and I wanted to check that he liked them. His brother (best man), nephew (page boy) and my brother (giving me away) are having ties to match, so it was important that he got to see them. OH's tie is going to match my dress though, so all he wanted to know was whether or not it is going to be pink! x

my main problem would be if i loved a dress and he said he didn't like it - but on the day it will all look lovely when it all comes together and hopefully he'll be looking at me and not the bridesmaids anyway ?

I dont think it makes any difference really! I havent shown my OH any of it but thats just cos i want it to be a surprise! I think He will know when he sees the cravats tho!! I wouldnt worry tho!
