It is Mr FtG's birthday, and he has requested sausage, chips and peas, followed by apple crumble and custard, so that's what he is getting.

Chilli chicken here. One of my mum's old recipes. Chicken in a reduced chilli sauce, served with rice.

Was going to do Brie stuffed Chicken wrapped in bacon with mash and veg but just remembered H is out at his mum's tonight so I'll keep that for tomorrow.

I can't be bothered to cook just for me so I'll be having some grapes, a yoghurt, some pistachios and a packet of twiglets.

I have really no idea. I didn't eat a meal for over a week but on Sunday I manage to eat chicken goujons with potato skins and then yesterday I had pork in paprika creme fraich and rice. Today I am hungry and fancy something nice but haven't a clue what to have.

Flowery, bless his little cotton socks! Happy birthday to the Mr F!

'tis my birthday too, Mr I would cook a birthday feast but I've chosen to go to the gym and do spin instead. Dinner will be turkey stroganoff as the turkey needs using up.

Pizza Express or chicken fricasse (sp). I'll find out at 5pm if we're going out or staying in.

Dunno yet what's for dinner but I've just enjoyed a late lunch of a baguette with grilled goat's cheese, sunblush tomatoes, with rocket and a balsamic dressing.

I have some halloumi in the fridge, and some salmon. Neither are filling me with inspiration. What I really want is a lardy take away with copious amounts of wine or gin.

Roast shoulder of lamb with rosemary, Yorkshire pudding (don't ask me why, but we are!), carrots, broccoli and boiled spuds (because we were too late to roast them - thank goodness!)

All courtesy of my Mum. Although I did the shopping for her yesterday and I've peeled the carrots and done the potatoes! ?

Oh, and her gravy is to die for ?

Tuna loin which has been marinated in soy sauce, pan seared and a mix of stir fried vegetables to go with it.

Finished off with a snickers bar! I needed chocolate and thats all I had in the house.
