That would be great for taking the cat to the vets when I haven't got the car. Those cat baskets + cat are really heavy.

To be fair, people use them when they are showing their cats at shows. I went to a local show a while back and when people have a couple of cats to move back to their cars they are invaluable. I'm not sure if anyone would use them to 'walk' their cats though. ?

I'm with Hawhaw, if for any reason I was trying to get the cat to the vet on my own it would be really useful. My cat weighs a lot (6.27kg according to the vet yesterday ?) and I don't find it easy to carry him.

    I'm afraid they are real.

It's only a step up from the old ladies in my home town who used to "walk" their dogs in one of these without the tartan insert:

Having had to walk a few miles with a heavy cat to the vet, that would have been ideal

We went to the South of England show and we were very tempted to buy one that they were selling there- the reason we needed one? well our puppy was with us and was getting so tired- in the end, she got in the pram whilst our toddler walked! We got odd looks- but she loved it.

Towards the end of the day when they were both tired, she got in the shopping basket at the bottom of the pram and they were both pushed around whilst they slept!

Anyway, i think they are quite a good idea- especially for the vets.

    Monkey Fingers, that is adorable!

I have a granny shopping trolley that I use for Uni, which I have considered filling with our kitties when they have vets appointments as there is no way I could carry them the whole way there in cat baskets. But I would never actually buy one of those....I'd get it ripped out of me living in this area!
