Is this too trendy...?

cherrybloom, 20 April, 2013 at 19:20 Posted on Planning 0 19

So I was looking at frocks although I have mine already..naughty but I just can't help a good nosy at a bridal frock and I saw this..does the peplum make it too trendy or is it timeless? I think its kind of cute and could look gorgeous on the right person.

Peplums have been around forever in one form or another so I'd say it's pretty timeless x

I think it's lovely, different but something about it is still classic and timeless. I think the fabric is lovely.

Peplum OK but the waist/neckline detail is, um, not my thing. So perhaps that's making the peplum look only 'relatively' good.

No, actually, I don't like it.

Personally I think it's one detail too many on this dress...I'd prefer it without the peplum.

Norks? Is that another name for bazoongas? I have learned something new there!

I love the wistful expressions of these models as they stand on some massive box that gives them all giraffe legs, Id love to start some sort of caption competition.

I love the bodice and fabric but the peplum is not for me.

Imagine my pain - I walk past a wedding dress shop twice a day. They rotate between Annasul Y, Lusan Mandongus and Provonias in the window. Currently it is this one and I am not allowed to make eyecontact with it or gaze on its beauty....

I have only just noticed the long legs/stood on a box thing after you mentioned it. What's wrong with me? That dress is stunning but if her knee was really in that position then she'd have record breaking shins. Clearly am slow on the uptake/ poor observation skills!

I don't think it's too trendy at all.

I'm not sure I like it though, I think I'd want to see how it looks on a 'real' person rather than a model standing on a box!

I don't like it. I think it's wayyy too overdone and is a statement, not a bridal gown. I could see a clothes-horse like Vernon Kaye's missus wearing it in the OK! magazine pics but that's it for me.

    Maybe I'm old/stuffy/both!!

Looks to me a bit like two dresses (one extremely short) tacked together, so not to my taste.

Also would be useless for church wedding as those very tight fishtails are impossible to kneel down in - and believe me, I've seen enough brides trying that for the first time at the wedding!

The top bit is quite pretty, though I wonder how it would look on someone less skinny. I really don't like the peplum plus very tight fishtail thing though.
