I'm going to get the red ones. Hoping to order on pay day. May need to leave at my parents so I'm not tempted to wear them before

    They are hard to describe

They are rubbery but not as soft as say a jelly shoel. They are completely supportive and very very comfy. The insole is padded.

Go and try them on, am sure there is a Vivienne Westwood shop in Manchester

I soooo want those Vivs Smiley sad

I don't think I really have any quirky little details... our wedding is turning out to be fairly traditional, even if it does have several different 'themes' for different parts of the day!

Oh... this is probably a bit sad... but we're having afternoon tea before the ceremony, and I've bought some sugar cubes and an 'easy writer' pen (it's like a felt tip, but edible ink) and I'm going to paint hearts on the sugar cubes. I tried a couple out just now... painted a red heart on one and wrote "love" in blue on the other. They turned out alright, if I say so myself! Just a tiny little detail that I hope some people notice and like.

I've tried to think about our guests every step of the way... to the point of including eggless and gluten-free tiers in our cake and having baskets of mini toiletries and other essentials in the loos. I want people to feel looked-after Smiley smile

One more thing... our place cards will look like this:

to go with the tube-map table plan I'm painstakingly making!

Tescos! They are Supercook Easy Writer's (I think...), you get 4 pens (red, yellow, blue and green) and best of all... the whole lot only came to a bargainous £2!

Ooh, I'm having amnesia roses as well.

Not so much quirky but I am planning to have a stack of old books and vintage teacups as my table centrepieces, sort of a merge of the pics below. It's my personality all over, there's nothing quite like a good book and a nice cup of tea! Smiley smile

Wow! Where did you manage to find all those? How long have you been collecting them for?

I've had a look on the ebay and they seem to be quite common but there's part of me that likes the idea of hunting round the charity shops myself with my Nan. It'll be more fun than clicking a button... Smiley smile

I've been collecting since about September last year but on and off. Carboots stop over winter but I managed to find a few before they all stopped. I got over 30 sets off a seller on ebay who was quite local so I collected them, wouldn't trust royal mail to get them to me in one piece! I've bought some from an antique shop too. My Mother-in-law has bought alot from Charity shops for me aswell and 91 year old Grandma donated a few pieces.

I am very much all about the details - I have this obsession with everything being "just so" - Our details at the moment are:

    * My handmade gift bags - no they were essential but I think they are cute
    * Mr & Mrs *our last name* wooden letters which we are going to lovingly pain red
    * Our wedding rings - making sure they match and are exactly
    * The whole white / ivory debate from the other day is a constant detail I am monitoring ?

It's £300 for 48 hours hire, with two people on the insurance. Me to drive it when we pick it up and take it back and my Dad to drive me to the castle and then onto the reception.

Don't know how 'quirky' these are as with weddings everything has pretty much been done before! But our little touches so far are:

    - A speech bubble blackboard for photos

    - Wedding cake shaped bubbles instead of confetti

    - Mr and mrs sign

Dont think ive anything unusual...Im having:

my dog in a cape same colour as BM's just for a few fun pics after ceremony

heart & butterfly shaped silk petals on our tables instead of 'ordinary' rose petals

personalised champagne glasses for me & oh to drink out of on arrival at hotel

cupcakes for evening do instead of dishing out our remaining wedding cake

    surprise groomscake

    pink uplighting

flowergirl in same colour of BM dresses - my pet peeve is flowergirls in white / ivory dresses -too mini bride for me! Shes having a hoop underneath her dress & everything Smiley smile

the flowers are a combination of my BM dress colour & my mums outfit colour - lipstick pink & lavender

I'm trying really hard to reflect our personalities, and I think our wedding will be different to others that my family have been to.

Things that we're having that are maybe different but reflect us are:

    - Our campervan as transport

    - The church choir singing the anthem I sung for an important exam

    - Possibly using music note paper in the invites, etc

    - Country/camping theme

    - OH's band hopefully playing at the reception

    - Table names with VW cars

    - F1 references somewhere!
