My OH loves football so the tables will be named to reflect that.

I am thinking of having a few poems scattered around that I have written to him since we have been together. I found one (of the many) letters I wrote him when we first got together. It explains how special and happy he makes me feel. Am thinking of reading this on the day as part of my speech as the words still apply now.

Rather than having "traditional" favours we are donating to charity and giving all our guests a Cancer Research pin. OH dad passed away of Cancer, my mum had Cancer (and beat it) and my Uncle also passed of Cancer. Its our little way of remembering and celebrating them.

I will also be wearing one of my Nans brouches that she left for me.

Me and my H2B are really into our music but I am into singing lovely songs and choirs and he loves heavy metal music so our extras are going to a slight mix lol.

I am hopefully having a choir to sing as I walk down the aisle and sign the register

A cake topper with me with my arms crossed and my H2B playing guitar on his knees lol

Each table has a sweet buffet as favours with individual paper bags and scoops

Personalised M&Ms with our colours and guitars and musical things

I have also commissioned a "suitable" song from his band adapted from one of his favourites he plays as I told him he can't play their songs as it is mostly screaming and swearing lol

These are some of the things so far but it is making me super excited!

I cant really think of any personal touches as I think most things have been done before! We would like to do the funny props for photos and get some garden games though. We wanted fireworks but our venues garden isn't big enough. We've got bubbles instead of confetti too and maybe get some table trivia or some little toy/games to put out to get the people talking but don't really know yet!

I did look into hiring the A-team van or corvette as hes a big fan but were not travelling as the hotel is on the same road as the venue then we stay there all day and overnight so really couldnt use it!

Sure i will think of something though!!

also considering a bouncy castle for the kids (and adults) if we can afford it!!!

    Love this thread.

I LOVE the scrabble tile place cards, saw them in a wedding mag and would have had them if they had been cheaper. That said, I bet they would double up as favours.

Here's my button place cards (I have made loads of them all in different mis-matched colours), tea light lanterns (stolen from BB) vintage morris minor, bunting and saucer champagne glasses. There's lots more planned but I don't have piccies of everything. Have flashed this all before but I love flashing it...
