Yay! Clicked on this topic, thinking you were probably up in the Scottish mountains somewhere but had to race to my (north London) window when i read it! Fingers crossed for snow day tomorrow...

OOOoooh, I can't wait for snow here! I have everything at the ready: chunky knitwear for wearing whilst sitting at sofa gazing at softly falling flakes, big mug of hot drink to wrap hands around, laptop for hitching ?

But still bright blue sky and sunshine here at Herts/Cambs border.

Snowing quite heavily in the City as well. Pretty but annoying, I wanted to go out and get a pork shoulder to roast (guess who watched Jamie Saves our Bacon).

Very light fluffy flakes on the Cambs / Lincs border but not setttling

Oh i love the snow, the sky here has become white and heavy looking over the last few minutes, we are on the surrey/london border

Im hoping it will start soon. All my family think im mad as they hate it, thank goodness for the children. Got my wellies and everything ready.

Only downpoint is iv just had surgery on my knee, so if i fall over it could be a disaster!

We're up here, too. Light and fluffy but coming in at 45 degrees to the ground. It has settled on the children's trampoline but nowhere else.

Very, very windy with a suggestion of snow in SE London. The wind coming off the river was bitter yesterday and sounds worse today. I'm not stepping outside the door today.

I think we might have the beginnings of something here (Gtr Manchester) - not quite snow at the moment, more freezing rain iyswim, shall wait and see.

We've had a very light flurry here in Cheshire. The sky does look quite strange though and its so cold that I have a feeling worse is to come.

Intermittent almost-blizzard conditions here in north kent; stops and starts but when it does come down it is very heavy and sideways due to the wind!

And its sticking.

Deep joy for those of us that commute, eh - three flakes and the entire network grinds to a halt, as ever.

Its snowing a little bit in Brum but nothing major, I'm hoping we have a good bucket load so I can take the dog out to play in it later ?

It has started to snow a little here (I'm just outside Birmingham).

Apparently, we are due heavy snow here from late this afternoon until Wednesday!

I must admit though, I am loving it being as cold as winter should be...

Flurries on and off in York, but nothing sticking. It's supposed to get worse this evening, but i'll be amazed if we get a snow day tomorrow. H stands more chance as he works up on the moors, I'll save the cleaning for him just in case!

Heavy snow here in Kent, although it has stopped now. If it freezes tonight, its gonna be bloody slip tastic tomorrow!

It's snowed about 5cms since midday here in East Kent.

No snow in Belfast as yet! Im hoping for a lot of snow by tomorrow morning, so that I can call in to work and say I will have to work from home! I will then sit in my PJ's all day..much like today.

It's started proper snowing here in Skeg, I think we're going to get quite a lot. It's eased a bit but was like blizzards a minute ago. I have a bay window which my settee is in so I'm sat all wrapped up on the sofa with the TV on, laptop and can look down the street at the snow-I love it!

H has just got back from Scarborough and he said you could see a wall of white coming in off the coast. They just got back to the car before it hit them, blizzardy conditions! I'm soooo hoping for a day off - if not tomorrow then sometime this week!! I want to make snowmen!
