I've so lost my Wedding Mojo

Rebecca86, 16 February, 2011 at 09:27 Posted on Planning 0 6

As above really, i know there's still ages to go,

But i really have lost it, i'm sure there's something i could be doing, ie looking for togs, hair ect ect ect

don't want to go dress shopping just yet,

When people talk to me about the wedding and they're all excited....i'm not !

I'm sure the excitement will kick in again soon i've got a wedding fayre at my venue on the 27th & another ladies only fayre on the 5th

So hopefully it will come back.

Until then i'm floating around here & OT

Just thought i'd share

x

Hi Rebecca, you've got plenty of time to get your mojo back and you'll get the excitement etc kick in! Have you thought about the kind of day you want to have yet and the 'look'? Take it easy and let it come back naturally. Give me a shout if you would like any bespoke stationery help at any stage x

Sorry, but why do you feel that you have to make all your posts about an advert... According to Hitched rules, you shouldn't! You should wait until you are asked or a specific thread about ideas of HIB's..

and to be honest it does get a tad repetitive and annoying seeing your adverts..

I'm the same Rebecca, I ordered my std's last week and tried some dresses on but didn't get one bit excited.

I'm sure our time will come.

    Keep smiling.

I had a year to plan my wedding and i lost my mojo at the beginning, to be honest i felt like it was all a waste of time, we didnt really have a clue how much things would costs and then obviously we had to set a budget.

The only advice i would give you is look around at photographers, see their work...i called a few in the first few months of booking the wedding and to my suprise a lot of them said they were already booked! If you look at it this way, you've got plenty of time to find the perfect photographer...decided whether you want a videographer too!

And, the sooner you get things sorted, even if its planning what style flowers you want or colour theme, things will run so much smoother....

We've just about got everything sorted, but we've noticed how all of a sudden the times just shot past! we're half way through feb already!!

    Hey date-twin Smiley smile

I know what you mean - I've lost that first flurry of excitement that came when we got engaged, and though I spend half my time worrying that I need to get things booked or I'll miss out, I can't get up the enthusiasm for it.

My friend who gets married in April said she went through several cycles of being really into the planning and getting lots done, then a phase of apathy!! I think that's got to be natural - I'd be exhausted if I spent the next 18 months in the same wedding frenzy as the initial couple of months!!!

Enjoy the wedding fayres, keep your eye out for ideas, follow up anything you like but don't worry if it's a few weeks before anything else is booked. If I recall correctly, you have the essentials sorted out?

I'm sure your mojo will come back! Smiley smile

PS I still have no colours picked!!

Hey Rebecca, I agree it'll come back, maybe you just needed a breather... how about doing us a quick flash moodboard of your wedding - this might get your excitement kick started?

Yeah we get a lot with the venue, DJ,Food,Rooms, drinks, so not really got to do much there,

I'v found a few togs but waiting until we see what togs are at our venue's wedding fayre before we decide.

I've kinda always had my colours.....not that it's stopped me from changing my mind a million times but always going back to the original lol.

I can't wait for the wedding fayre on the 27th at my venue and on my birthday i'm pretty sure all my excitement will come back to me then, how can it not really, wedding stuff & birthday presents yey lol !!

& Viki when you get them colours please do flash !!

    Cheers Girlies
