Jade Goody (sens but not dead)

monalisa, 4 February, 2009 at 08:05 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 52

Has been told her cancer has spread to her liver ,bowel and groin. It's now a case of how long they can prolong her quality of life for.

So very , very sad for a 27 year old woman with children to be facing this. Cancer really is a monster.

I read that this morning. How cruel and devastating. No-one deserves this, especially someone so young.

Oh no. My thoughts are with her and her children.

I'm not a fan of hers but this has choked me a bit. Terribly sad.

I heard that this morning. Its so sad and cruel. Her poor children.

I left this morning when the Dr on GMTV was talking about other options that she could do, didn't hear exactly what he was saying though. Some sort of experiment drug or treatment?

I just read about it. It is heartbreaking. Such a horrible disease, and especially for someone so young with 2 little boys. ?

I was really shocked to hear this on the news.

I don't read gossip mags or tabloids, so I must admit I thought (totally wrongly) that when I saw her splashed all over front covers, this was a bit of a storm in a teacup milked by the media and her 'people'.

How wrong I was. I'm sorry to finally hear the real extent of her illness. Her poor boys.

I think it's so desperately sad, her family life before Big Brother was a car crash , and to have it possibly end like this must be devastating for her and her family. I hope they can help her, but secondary cancer is as bad as it gets in my experience.

I must admit to feeling a little choked when I heard this morning.

I want to cry reading this, how devastating for her and at such a young age. My friend got cancer at 28 and she didn't quite get to 29, that was awful enough for all her family but to have to go through this with young children aswell, it really breaks my heart.

WHHS. I honestly think she was desperately wanting to fix the whole BB thing and prove she wasn't a horrible person. Such a shame her and her family are going through this.

My heart goes out to her. I cant imagine what it must feel like not to be able to see your children grow up. Leaving Noah would break my heart much more than the actual dying would. I feel so desperate for her and her poor boys.

This is really sad news. Even though I wouldn't count myself as a "fan", it's terribly sad to hear of a young woman who has so much to live for suffering this horrible disease. She really seems to have had little luck all through her life. ☹️ Her poor kids and family too, they must be devastated.

What sad news, especially for her boys. Like others, I'm not her biggest fan - but I wouldn't wish this on anybody. I did see one of her Living TV programmes, where she didn't want to know what the prognosis was and she hadn't read up on anything or found out the statistics etc. I couldn't work out (and still don't know) if that was a good thing to do or not.

I've never been a fan of BB, or JG, but this is such sad news. My heart goes out to her.

WSS. I have 2 little boys as well and my first fear in life is something happening to them, the second is something happening to me so I'm not there for them growing up.

It's really terrible particularly at such a young age. I've never been a fan of Jade but no-one deserves something as awful as this to happen to them. It's just tragic, and I actually feel quite teary thinking about it.

When i first found out i didn't want to know anything, i avoided looking it up and i threw out all the booklets i was given but as it appeared to get worse everytime i went into the hospital i decided to look things up, i only ever looked up what was relivant to me as it can be pretty scary looking into all the what if's and horror stories. I understand why she didn't want to know because once you do it takes over your life and with young children its difficult to function normally around them when you know. x

    How awful.

I have a kind of admiration for her, TBH, becuase she has come from such a bloody terrible upbringing, and far from being a Kerry Katona car crash shes ended up reasonably stable. She seems to have created a stable family unit for herself and I have quite a lot of respect for that. I remember reading and article about her saying she knows she could easily be Kerry Katona but when she started making money she made a consious decsion to move away from friends and family who might be a bad influence on her or her children, and invest the money wisely to build a career for herself when all this is over.

Its a awful shame shes not going to get to enjoy that stability.
