Tried to go to the London one a couple of years ago but they were phenomenally unaccommodating so gave up in the end.

    Hope Cornwall is much better!

Yep 4 of us went a few years agi when we were camping in Newquay. It was amazing. Being a veggie I was a bit dubious of a tasting menu but they made sure I had something alongside the meat eaters. And wait till you see the view. Enjoy!

Thanks ladies, I am very excited and wondering if to go the whole hog and do the wine along with dinner tasting menus. Bearing in mind another foodie post, is there a dress code? I imagine it will be fairly casual in there.

We went whilst on our honeymoon last year. It was lovely. Try and get a window seat, and get there whilst it is light as its a beautiful view. Try and pop down to the bay at Watergate before you go in too. Oh, and give yourself time to find the entrance as it's not easy to find (left hand corner of carpal nearest to bay if I remember correctly)?

We didn't feel like we had to dress formally at all, and didn't try the wine taster menu but did have yummy cocktails!

We went a few years ago and couldn't get a table at dinner time so went for lunch. Food and service was spot on BUT there were babies and kids EVERYWHERE - it totally ruined it for us. That said, we now have two whingey kids ourselves so would probably fit in perfectly if we went now Smiley winking

Just something to bear in mind if that would bother you...

Thanks, but we have booked for the evening dinner menu at about 8pm so I think there will be mainly adults. It actually says on the website they don't recc dinner slots for families as they only have the tasting menu available - if I was a kid I wouldn't want to eat anything on that!

Cheers everyone, always good to hear that a place lives up to the rep (and price)!

It's lovely! We went a couple of years ago and had a great time, we're back down there for new years eve this year!

It is nice in there, I wore a dress and heels and didn't feel out of place x

That's a great New Year's Eve plan! I don't really do dresses and never heels, I may need to come up with an alternative outfit to my usual skinny jean and nice top combo.
