Jeans

I need jeans that fit me and don't know where to look. I have a relatively small waist but have a belly and big thighs and hips so find high sitting jeans gape at the upper waist but low sitting jeans expose my bum a lot so have to match them with long tops. I'm about 5ft 4 so find I'm better with petite jeans if wearing them with flat flats thought normally go for standard and have the scobed look at the bottoms ?

I have over the last few years liked jeans from Next, they are cheap, washed well and didn't go too baggy bummed. Now I'm finding them annoying. I have size 14 "skinny" ones on today which I can pull off easily without opening and they sit very low. I have 14 "boyfriend" jeans which are quite snug and a bootcut pair in a 12 which fit fine so I don't know what on earth size I need. They also seem to be washing badly for me. I want to lose weight so don't want to fork out on dearer jeans atm and would prefer to spend £30 or less. Any ideas of where to look that might fit my needs?

Have you tried somewhere like New Look or Dorothy Perkins? I think I've heard good things about New Look jeans on here before and both those shops will do petite and are most likely to be in budget. I normally get my jeans from Oasis but they're outwith the budget you've quoted.

New Look have a good range and they're all super-cheap.

I'm 5ft 4 and have a smallish waist but big legs. I've recently bought jeans from Oasis and have been very happy with them.

Thanks, I hadn't given much thought to new look as I automatically go to the shoe section of it or pick up tshirts, will have a look there ?

ASDA jeans are ok too for casual wear. I have a pair of 12's that are quite big, they're the boyfriend fit and i'm a good 12/14 usually.

Oasis have jeans in their sale at the moment.

Thanks too SS. I think I have a bit of a phobia of trying on jeans because of the fear of what size I might need but will have to bite the bullet and do it ?

Do give New Look a try, but be prepared to try on a quite a few pairs, they are cheap and the same sized ones are not all necessarily the same size

I hate jeans shopping with a passion too

Another vote for New Look, I'm plus sized but my waist is about 2 sizes smaller than my hips etc and I've got short legs (bet you that makes you feel better lol) and I've recently lost 5st. New Look have been an absolute God send as their jeans are only £12 and I've been changing sizes frequently. As someone else has said you have to try them on as there sizing is a bit off. I've just bought a pair of 18's and I know I'm a 22.

I've also got some good ones from M&S for about £15

I really like the "Amber" jeans that Oasis do as i've got a bit of a belly and am pretty short too (switt swoo eh! ?). They are low cut whilst still being bootleg jeans and have a decent amount of stretch in the mix too.

I may go along to Oasis and have a look at their sale at lunch seeing as they have jeans in there too. ?

Was very impressed with the New Look ones I bought recently - £22 and nice dark denim and a good cut
