Jewelery HIBS - Real Pearls?

milna, 26 March, 2009 at 13:44 Posted on Planning 0 13

I am looking for some pieces of jewelery - but want real pearls (cultured freshwater is fine!) as opposed to faux pearls. Any suggestons?

I think I want 3 x very simple strings - one for each bridesmaid

3 x pairs of small, simple stud earings - for bridesmaids

A more dramatic pair of earings for me (as I am thinking of just having some really spectacular earings and no necklace) ... something along these lines (though I have no idea where I got this pic from - I think I just did a google images serach for 'pear chandelier earings' or something! )

Any ideas?

Hey Milna - what you are looking for sounds exactly like what I have got for my BMs too!

I got 'Hepburn' necklaces from Lisaloulou http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/necklaces_bridal.html and Lynsey (PuurfectGems) made some lovely pearl studsto go with them... I lovel them they are all gorg (I already have some studs for myself and will be getting a necklace for me too shortly!)

    Hi

Everything on my website can be made using freshwater pearls as oppose to the Swarovski pearls I normally use. The prices would need slight adjustment

I can certainly make a pair of chandelier earrings similar to those in your post.

    Thanks

    Hi Milna

Here are a few of my designs for you to have a look at, all of them can be made in freshwater pearls if they aren't already!

    Earrings first!

studs for the bridesmaids shouldn't be a problem, and can be either 6mm or about 8.5mm

    and like:

    and for you:

    Harmonia necklace

Knotted pearl necklace (can be done in freshwater pearl)

    Athena

Peach melba (can be done in all white) in case you fancy something with a little illusion to it

Please email me if I can help at all, I offer a bespoke service and am happy to design you something special for yourself and bridesmaids.

    Hi Milna

I have lots of designs in pearls (I adore freshwater pearls!) which might be suitable on this page http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/necklaces_bridal.html

For bridesmaids, my Hepburn range is very popular (http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/necklaces_bridal.html#necklaces_hepburn). My own bridesmaids wore the freshwater pearl version in fact! Hepburn is a simple and classic necklace yet stylish enough to be worn again and again with many outfits. There are matching earrings too which have a small drop (http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/earrings_bridal.html#earrings_hepburn).

I'm afraid I can't see the photo you have posted but I'm sure I could sort out some chandelier earrings for you no problems.

Please feel free to drop me a line on ****@***********.**.** if I can help at all.

Otherwise, the website is www.louloubelle.co.uk for ideas and I've posted a few photos below which have crystals or diamantes too in case you want a little bit of sparkle.

    Wow - thankyou everyone!

Lisaloulou - your Hepburn necklaces look ideal! Though I like the Kathryn necklaces on your website too as the ribbon tie is a little different - the longer version in freshwater pearls. Could these be made with a slightly smaller ribbon?

Oh - and Princess Pink - love the first set of chandeliers ... almost spot on, but think I am going to explore a few genuine vintage options first ...

PG - your pearl earing studs look great +bargainous!

    Will peruse more later!

    Hiya

Everything is made to order and can be tailored to suit so freshwater pearl Hepburn-length necklaces with ribbon ties are no problem at all. And I can source different ribbon for you no probs. Infact Kath79's BMs had longer style Kathryn necklaces with a ribbon tie http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/real_brides.html

    hey milna,

no worries, i can alter the wired bit if you like. I hand make the chandellier bit itself from wire so can do different designs, add or take away beads and make em as long as you like!

I made this particular pair for a friend who adores dangly earrings and freshwater pearls.

They look really stunning on, a real eye catcher.

if you would like some other ideas of styles for the chandelier bit just drop me a line *********@************************.**.**
