Jewellery HIBS please!

pandorasbox, 7 January, 2013 at 17:15 Posted on Planning 0 6

I am looking for a back necklace (if that is even a thing) to wear with this:

But all the ones I can find are really very bridal with pearls, or really really long.

Does anyone make a simple, shorter crystal/silver one, and if so how much please? Thanks.

I could help with a bespoke design if you'd like to get in touch, as any length can be made really and there are lots of options for crystals/ diamante etc.

Another option, if you already have a necklace that would work with the front of the dress, is to make a back drop chain which just attaches to your existing necklace.

Thanks Nicky, do you have pics of any chains which would just attach? I really don't know what I'm looking for and very rarely wear necklaces at all, but I do have a few nice pieces that were gifts over the years.

I don't have one to hand, but I'll put an example together for you and pop a pic on for you either tonight or in the morning...

Here is just a quick example for you. Apologies for the pants pictures- it's a brand new camera just out of the box, which I can't work properly yet and has run out of charge!

It is a double strand chain with diamante and crystals at the ends, and it would just fasten onto an existing necklace using a standard necklace clasp. You could of course have just one chain with either the detail just at the end, or an additional diamante/crystal detail halfway down the chain for instance.

Hope that gives you some ideas for starters; give me a shout if I can help

You could even do something yourself. Get a bracelet you like and clip it to the necklace fastening with the bracelet fastener. You could always add a little clip on charm to the end if you wanted. there are so many on ebay these days.
