Jewellery, tiara and accessory help please.

Silverskye, 24 September, 2011 at 14:26 Posted on Planning 0 3

Hello I am not a very regular poster, but am a serial lurker and need some help........

I get married Feb 25th next year and despite being possibly the most laid back bride ever, things are getting ticked off the list bit by bit. However i am not the most girly girl and really need some advise on jewellery, tiaras, my hair and general accessories!

Important information you may need to help me...

My Dress is a Benjamin Roberts no 958 - link to website pictures ..... http://www.benjaminroberts.co.uk/958-p-626.html (Obviously that isn't me wearing it!) I won't be using the big tulle train nor the straps.

Our colour theme is Turquoise, however as turquoise flowers are not in abundance at any time of year we will be having Cream flowers and the florist will use turquoise 'bits' to add some colour.

I have no big bridesmaids just my 2 gorgeous nieces as flower girls.

No real theme, anticipate everything to be fairly laid back and informal, we are having a small ceremony and meal ( 24 including the 2 of us ) and then about 100 ish to the night do.

Don't think i want a veil, tried a few on with my dress and really wasn't convinced.

My hair is longish and layered at the front i think i want it all up as i am anticipating it raining ( think the worst then at least if it does rain i won't be disappointed!) and it will go really fuzzy!

We are all in 1 venue so other than getting in the car at mum and dads and then out again at the venue if the weather is bad i won't need to go outside.

So in a nutshell that is my wedding can anyone help me please?

    Hi,

Your dress is gorgeous. Here are some suggestions that I design but I also create bespoke designs without any extra charge. You can also borrow designs to 'try before you buy' as I know how hard it is to choose online, if you want more details about this just email me. If you see a design you like I'll check whether it's available as a sample.

I'll post pictures of brides wearing the designs so you can see how they look on

This is one of the most popular designs because it suits any dress and any hairstyle. It's also really popular for brides who don't want anything too ott

All the designs can be adapted to suit so the materials covering the band can be changed to use any of these; swarovski pearls, swarovski crystals or diamontes. The bands of tiaras can also be silk wrapped like the last design I've posted so it blends in with your hair. This orchid design has been a huge hit with Hitchers.

If you aren't too sure about a tiara you could go for a comb and most tiara designs I've got can be done on a comb as well just like this example

My website is going to be relaunched next month so unfortunately it's under maintenance and the details/prices are missing but it's still got the images on there www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk however facebook has loads new designs including new collections https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.140989575916935.27972.138437779505448&type=1#!/media/albums/?id=138437779505448. Reviews can be found on here as well https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.140989575916935.27972.138437779505448&type=1#!/lynseysdesigns1?sk=reviews. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any prices or to chat about a bespoke design.

As for jewellery if you aren't too keen on jewellery why not opt for something really delicate. A pendant would work really well with your neckline since it's a sweetheart shape and there are loads of options in here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.165722676776958.42056.138437779505448. All designs can have co-ordinating items made to match like this . Or you could go for a statement bracelet and no necklace

I got carried away with the pics there sorry!

    Thanks Michelle.

What a beautiful dress. I think pearls and crystals with no diamante sparkle would suit your dress best. I'll post a few ideas below but there are plenty more on

The Grace range of jewellery can be made in freshwater pearls too (shown below in Swarovskis). The bracelet could even be made as a double strand.

If you are wearing your hair up maybe you would like to go with a traditional tiara I have some here
