Jo Whiley moving to weekends and other changes in R1

Oh. I am the lone voice in the distance who loves Jo Whiley and Edith Bowman. Fearne Cotton is ok I suppose, well actually she is a bit irritating. Hmph.

This is such a good thing for Radio 1. There's very few people I know that still enjoy listening to Jo Whiley & Edith Bowman, I know I turn the radio over from 10-4 every day. I do think Jo should leave R1 all together now though. Fearne and Greg are much better to listen to IMO.

Oh god I can't stand Fearne Cotton, give me coxy any day! I can understand why those two (Jo & Edith) have gone to weekends as it's probably due to family commitments etc.

However I do enjoy a good <<flash flash>> with Greg James every now and then

I'm glad Jo Wiley is moving she annoys me, but I'd prefer if they had Sarah Cox instead of Fern Cotton, but I supposed she'll do.

Twin B in the early morning slot at the mo is quite annoying, or maybe it's his name that annoys me.

I think it'll be a good change and I'm not suprised, as someone else said, Edith and Jo have family commitments. I do wish they'd get rid of Nihal, I always manage to turn on when he's on, I try to listen but I really can't stand him

I like Nihal too, I think he's funny.

Can't believe Fearne is in Whiley's slot, Sara Cox would have been a much better replacement, but I suppose they're trying to connect with da yoof, since that's their target audience. I'll have to find something else to listen to on weekend mornings though because I can't stand Bowman.

I think I'm the only listener in the country who doesn't really like Greg James, he's a bit too cocky for me.

I don't like Greg James when he does the daytime slot but early in the morning he's different for some reason - not that I've heard it much, only at stupid o'clock when we've been going to the airport.

What's wrong with Nihal? He sounds just like someone else but I can't remember who that someone else is ?

I thought they were lining Greg James up to take over breakfast when Moyles stands down, but it looks like they're gearing him up for drivetime instead.

I like Scott Mills though, I hope they don't move him from drivetime as that's my main listening time.

I like him there too, Chappers makes me laugh and it's easy listening while I'm getting the dinner ready. I think all the main presenters (Moyles, Mills etc) have just signed new contracts for a year so we're safe for a while.

September will be good, Moyles becomes the longest serving breakfast show host on R1, so there should be some great podcasts and clips from the last 5 years.

Nihal sounds like Russell Brand to me - even the way he uses words in a "fragrant manner.

I HATE HATE HATE Fearne Cotton. I was forced to listen to the Top 40 last Sunday and she was so fake and insipid.

Scott Mills is annoying me lately, I'll be glad when Scott Mills the Musical is over and done with.

Vernon still does 10.00-1.00 on a Saturday, I always try and do his maths question ? Although I didn't like it when he stood in for Moyles on Monday, he went on and on about golf for aaaages, even Aled was telling him to move on.

Sun, the musical is in August isn't it? Chappers indifference to it cracks me up, still, not long now until it's all over ?

That's it, Russell Brand. When I first heard Nihal I said 'is this Russell Brand', they sounds exactly the same.

It's funny how they are different in different slots (oo er) Vernon does go on about golf a lot and I love the way he seems to organise his social life whilst on air ?
