Having been a stay at home mum for the last 4 years, I am in the process of applying for my first real job as my son is going to school in September.
The post is a library assistant in a primary school. I've filled in the application form but am trying to write a covering letter and am struggling!
My main issue is that I am clearly over-qualified for the job (I'm a qualified teacher albeit in secondary education) and I don't want that to put them off from asking me for an interview. Do I mention my qualifications in my letter? The pay is dependent on qualifications but the money is not the main reason i'm applying for the job so I don't want them to think they've got to pay me loads!
I would love this job as the hours are brilliant and it fits in really well with my son's schooling so all help will be gratefully received!
? in advance!
