Don't know if anyone will be intersted but I was in WHSmith today and noticed that the latest book "Second Glance" is only £2.99 when you buy the "Times". Not sure how long the offer is on for though.

Its on a half price deal at Waterstones as well until Wednesday.

I can't actually imagine a good film adaptation of her books being possible - I love them but they are so far fetched!

What's "Second Glance" about - I've read loads of her books and the title sounds incredibly familiar but I'm not sure if I've read it or not! Just wondering whether it's worth going into town to buy the Times tomorrow...

"Do we love across time? Or in spite of it? A developer has slated an ancient Abenaki Indian burial ground for a strip mall, and now strange happenings have tiny Comtosook, Vermont, talking of supernatural forces at work. Ross Wakeman is a ghost hunter who's never seen a ghost-all he's searching for is something to end the pain of losing his fiance Aimee in a car accident. He tried suicide-any number of times. Now Ross lives only for a way to connect with Aimee from beyond. Searching the site for signs of the paranormal, Ross meets the mysterious Lia, who sparks him to life for the first time in years. But the discoveries that await Ross are beyond anything he could dream of in this world-or the next. Expertly entwining a powerful drama of the heart's redemption and the disturbing real-life history of the VT eugenics project of the 1930s, Second Glance asks if truth is always something that can be measured… and if what can be measured is indeed always true"

Am going to get round to reading it this weekend, but funnily enough I thought it sounded familiar too and haven't a clue why!

I read Second Glance earlier this week. Its written in three parts, and after the first part I wasn't sure whether to carry on with it - it was a bit strange. I did persevere with it, and I'm pleased I did, but I don't think it was my favourite of her books. It says it was first published in 2003 (I guess in the States).

I actually really enjoyed Second Glance. I bought it on special offer in the airport with Ninteen Minutes and loved both of them.

The only one I don't really like is Salem Falls. I've read it three times and just don't 'get' it as much as the others at all. Nineteen Minutes was fab.
