I think so,ci don't tend to notice. My writing changes a lot, if I'm writing a letter I have to make a conscious effort to keep it all the same, as my hand gets tired my writing changes!

Yes I do and, like AC, I enjoy writing in my fountain pen as well. Makes even my scrawl look slightly more refined.

    Mostly, yes.

    Occasionally, no.

I seem to have two different styles of handwriting... One which looks grown up, one which looks like a 5 year olds!

Mostly yes, but depends on my mood and what I am writing for.

I love calligraphy since I was a child and my mom has a wonderful handwriting which I was always trying to immitate, but I also studied technical writing in high school so I feel comfortable with both.

I love my fountain pen. The majority of my letters are joined up, only a couple of stragglers that miss out! ?

Most of the time, yes. I have dreadfully scruffy handwriting though so it would probably be more legible if I didn't join it up.

Yes. I find it difficult not to.

I used to love writing in fountain pen, however they didn't like my lefty scrawl much and I used to bed up with lots of smudges across the page.

I have so many different handwriting styles.

If I'm feeling neat, I'll join my letters.

I think I'd get ink EVERYWHERE if I tried to use a fountain pen. I'll stick to bics.

I have written a few test sentences to see if I am as joined-up as I imagine.

Somewhat ironically, I have found that I don't join up ANY of the letters in the word "join".

I actually don't write a huge amount as joined-up, maybe 50 %. My writing looks more joined-up than it actually is because the loops/etc run into each other, but I'm definitely lifting my pen more often that I realised.

Yes. I'm quite careful with my writing- a hang over from primary teaching in a previous life.

I definitely don't join mine up but my handwriting is terrible and always has been. It's neater if I print rather than join it up

It's a little pet hate of mine when people use capital letters in the middle of words. My MIL always writes my name like this: CaRole

I actually find my writing looks neater not joined up - when I join my letters it becomes a bit of a messy scrawl. So if I'm in a rush I join, but generally none of it's joined up.

I've just written some test sentences. Mine is a mixture really. I join the o an I in 'join' but not the j and n. My writing is terrible. I don't really write very often at all these days and if I do I mix it with shorthand.

I join mine, except when I'm trying to write neatly as my handwriting is atrocious. I used to write messily in my diary as a kid so my mum couldn't read it, and now I can't stop writing that way (not good when my job now involves other people reading my handwriting on a daily basis). I also don't hold my pen "correctly", which doesn't help.

If I am writing something as me it is joined up. If it is for children then the letters get separated. They can never read my z and f though.

I always write joined up except if I'm writing instructions at work and then I write painstakingly slow and evenly spaced so nobody can misread it.

OH always writes everything in capitals. I've never seen him write normally. He says it's because his handwriting is so bad.

Mine is a bit joined up and a bit not. Quite messy too!

I sent a handwritten letter the other day to our very own (Claire) but I don't own a writing set and shamefully, wrote it on note paper, in biro.

I'm all joined up, except for certain things at work which I have to write in caps. H has really dreadful writing, he had to get permission to use a computer for his uni exams as they couldn't mark his work otherwise!

I barely do now. I've lost my skills. As a nation we are probably losing this skill, along with spelling, as we all have spellcheck.

I type everything now, so much faster for me to type then handwrite. When I write wedding or birthday cards, etc I have to make special effort to write nicely.
