Sorted - venue, registrar, harpist, dress, my bouquet, veil, bridesmaid shoes, dj (included in package), harpist for ceremony, my wedding ring. Also started designing invitations and will make the rest when I am happy with the design.

Hmmm, you guys seem to be far more organised than me but I have managed to sort a few things. Deposit paid and ordered dress, Venue booked and OH has sorted out the registrar. Going to see tog next weekend - friend of OH so hoping for some "mates rates"! and I have found a florist but haven't paid my deposit yet as skint from paying deposit on dress!! So what does that leave? some entertainement in the evening, car, cake, rings and invites I suppose. Don't think we are having a honeymoon as we probably won't be able to afford it☹️ oh it's July 22nd by the way

Well i did have a panic last week that i wasnt organised enough but this is what i have done so far:

Booked venue (ceremony and reception same place) booked registrar, given and paid notice, booked photographer, found cake lady just need to pay deposit, chosen bridesmaid and been dress shoping, struggling with find the "only" dress she wants ?, got centrepieces and some decorations, i have my dress, jewellery and shoes, thank you cards and guest postcards (instead of book) waiting for quotes from florists! WRitten my speach and almost choses poems for ceremony. Got most of stuff for invites, just need making up. Putting together address list for those too.

Feels like i have loads more to do! aaarrrrgghhhh

Lovelygirl - Marriage counselling?? I am confused, I thought this was something you did when you were married and had hit a bad patch. Ours is a civil ceremony so I guess we shall have a bit of a chat with the registrar at some point but I thought it was more of an interview rather than a counselling session. Hope you don't think me rude I am just wondering if I have been missinformed?

Hi everyone, I'm getting married 23rd July 2011

I have ordered wedding dress, due to arrive in January, ordered 2 bridesmaid dressed from same shop, they are arriving in December, booked venue and paid deposit, booked photographer paid deposit, sorting out wedding invites (tweaking before ordering the whole lot!), auntie doing wedding cake for free as she's a chef/cook, getting wedding rings in January sale. Still got car and flowers to organise but not looking to do that until after Xmas. Don't want to be too sorted already as I won't have anything to do next year!!

Marriage counselling by the catholic church is a preparation course that you have to do to get married in a catholic church which includes paperwork, like believing in god, wanting children, children to be brought up catholic, it is supposed to make sure that you are ready for marriage and that you hold the same beliefs and moral or are atleast aware of your partners thoughts on things.......

not being catholic i have no idea what to expect....
