Hiya girls. thanks for giving me a bit of a nudge. rings is a good idea zippy, h2b has his sorted but i havnt got mine yet, i only having a plain gold band, so maybe i should go buy it. its 1 of them things that altho i know havnt got around to getting. im also looking to get centrepieces dorted out. iv been quoted 35 pounds per table by the florist and i just duno if my budget can stretch. wats everyone else paying per centrepiece? i seriously might think about making my own, but is that just an added stress i can do without? cant decide really x

I'm quite lucky in the respect that my venue supplies the flower centrepieces- they have about 10 different styles to choose from; you pick and then give them the colour you want and they make them (well their florist supplier makes them). So I will be making my choice in november when my venue have the wedding fayre and the supplier showcases them.

My MIL2B's friend is doing our flowers, and has said £25 for a posy and we can talk about anything bigger. We're only having 4 tables and top table though, so it seems a bit more reasonable then. If we were having 10 or something I think we would have to rethink!

Hi hkj, I'll certainly share if I find any! Have you tried project wedding? There are lots of pictures on there, just a case of having the patience to look through them all!

Hi all, im getting married in August 2010, and at the moment things seem pretty sweet (although i dont want to tempt fate!!) we have almost everything sorted and lots of deposits paid already some things are already paid in full.

We gave our notice on the 21st September, its quite formal but thats due to the legalities.

Im going for my first lot of wedding dress measurements on 19th December.

I do seem to have hit a lull at the moment too now though so am throwing myself into the organisation of my hen weekend, im having a pamper weekend at the ocean hotel and spa at Bognor regis resort!!

Lotsof love to you all x

    Hi all

Well as most of you know I've recently ordered my dress, next on our list is booking the honeymoon and then sorting the bridesmaids outfits - it sounds bad but I really can't be bothered with that, just think it's going to be such a headache! ?

My CBM is sorting out my main hen weekend but I want to arrange a day at the races too so that anyone who isn't coming to the main one can come to that.

A very close friend is making my tiara so now that I've chosen my dress we'll need to meet up and talk about ideas for that.

Don't think rings will take us long, we both have a pretty good idea of what we want so will probably do that nearer the time.

Have already given notice - was really quick for us, just in and out really! They just asked us for all our details and we signed a few bits and that was it, sorted.

I've booked my florist but will probably wait till the new year to meet up and talk about specifics, as I want to have my colour scheme confirmed by then and hopefully that will be sorted once we've done the bridesmaid dresses! Then I will look into cakes, favours and all the little bits like that - oh and H2B will have to start looking at suits.

    Hello Ladies,

At the weekend we picked a cake & also got all the table centre pieces sorted. The cake is being made by a friend of h2b's family she has her own cake shop so we went there for a look round on Saturday & she had a table all set up with fish bowls on it with lillies wrapped round the inside of the fish bowls for centre pieses which looked fab & she said we could use all that stuff for our Wedding if we wanted so we were really chuffed.

The next thing on the list is shopping for fabric for the bm dresses in Oct or Nov, my friend is making the bm dresses.

Hi, we get married in August 2010, and gave notice last week, you will need your birth certificate, passport, and a bill proving your address, they ask you a few questions together and then split you up and interview each of you on your own while you/ he remains outside!!, not a nice experience so good luck!!? ( takes about an hour!!)

Ours was a bit like bridetobehaha's but the register was lovely.

Anyone got anything to flash? I'm sat at work, and need something to keep my mind busy, otherwise i am staring at the clock.

I'm officially back in wedding mode as well. Yesterday it was exactly 11 months to go...wooooohoooo!!

So far I got sorted Photographer (downpayment paid), Piper (downpayment paid), Venue (downpayment paid). Also went for a first look at dresses a couple of months ago and will go towards the end of the months to some other shops to see whats around. Been to two wedding fayres already and going to another this weekend. Once I got my dress sorted, I'll think about the colour scheme and see some florists. OH will go Kilt viewing with his pals in a couple of weeks....and for a 'couple' of drinks after (aye right)

So by the end of the year I want the florist, cake, dress, Kilt sorted.

Well i think the problem is i'm not 100% sure!!!! My colour scheme is dusky pink and cream so ideally a nice antique pink colour....but that's harder to come by than you think. So i was maybe thinking of a deep gold which wuld go nicely with the whole scheme....

I don't mind full or tea length skirts although i think i prefer tea-length. All the ones i find are just so 'bridesmaidy' which i know sounds ridiculous!!! And it seems to be impossibly to find anything from the high street in the right colour.

Just have to keep searching i guess!!!!

Thats exactly the same problem I'm having. I want lilac chiffon & tea length dresses but like you I can't find the right colour on the high street. I also don't want 'bridesmaidy' dresses, I like shiny dresses but its not what I want. I can get what I want from a bridal store but they are soooooo expensive. I've stumbled across this site http://stylenotesltd.com/Members/MyWishlist.aspx and have found 3 dresses that I realy like that can be custom made & in the colour I decide & for only £50! Trouble is I can't see what the back looks like or feel the fabric so I'm gonna send for a colour swatch so I can check out the material. If I like it I think I'll order 1 dress for 1 of the bridesmaids that a similar size to me & then if we really don't like it as a bridesmaids dress I can always wear it to my friends wedding in may or sell it on ebay.

    Good luck with your search

That sums it up really, i want non-bridesmaidly promy type dresses but in a very bridesmaidy colour.

Good luck with your hunt too !!
