June 2012 Brides - How are we getting on??

I'm glad I'm not the only one with lots to do,I keep looking at things on the Internet but am still not feeling enough pressure to actually decide and buy ?

The main things I have to do are church related ie. decide hymns, who's reading what, order of service. Then there's a playlist for the wedding breakfast, decorations and favours for adults and children. My dress is not expected until mid-May but I'm hoping that it will somehow magically be in this month ?

Jeez, I've just written my list down and I kind of wish I hadn't!!!

1. Buy OH something to wear to the wedding. He has nothing yet, so need a suit, shirt, shoes, etc, etc!!

2. Choose Readings, I cannot find anything I like

3. Choose ceremony music, I have trawled Itunes and our CD libraries, and still NOTHING! In fact, choose any music we need to.

4. Make table plan, menus, and place settings

5. Buy underwear

6. Go for second fitting

7 Order photo props from Etsy

8. Exchange currency

9. Buy night before outfit for group meal.

10. Confirm numbers with caterer

11. Meet with suppliers to discuss finer details

12. have hair and make up trials

13. Pay everyone, gulp!!!

In a nutshell - I still have sh*tloads to do

I keep thinking I have nothing to do so lets make a quick list before I realise last min!

decide on jewellery

Sort out shirt and tie for h2b

break in my shoes

make veil (although I might not wear it!)

finish deciding music, stuck for music when everyones waiting as they really won't apriciate anything we'd listen to.

decide which vows we're using and if to have readings or not (probably not)

pay for ceremony

arrange how the boys and us will get there

make cupcakes for favours, but that won't be done until a day or 2 before

decide how to have my hair ?

make sure both oh and my brothers have booked the day off work (they truly are useless! ? )

so actually the list is quite long but nothing major and most should only take a few mins to sort x

We are ? I'm not quite at sick stage yet but it'll come, think I'm just in denile atm. After 9yrs I didn't think the day would ever come when we got engaged little lone married ?

I too have loads to do.

We have our final wedding meeting tomorrow afternoon and before then we are supposed to have decided table plans, got final numbers, decided on the drinks package etc and we haven't done any of it. Also I can not be fooled by thinking we can do it tomorrow moring as we are travelling tomorrow so it will have to be done tonight.

We also need to get a cd of music ready tonight to accompany our photos when they are put online on the photographer's website not sure we even have a blank cd!

Not even thought about our order of service - we had a play around with it about a month ago - it was too much like hard work so abandoned it.

I still need to get bridesmaids shoes, sort out final flowers meeting, sort out paying for cake, car, meeting dj the list goes on.

I also need to sort my hen-do out I have said I wanted a nice relaxed night out but I at least need to tell people when it is!

I think having been planning for over 2 years I am now behind where I should be but it will be all fine in the end.

I'm starting to get butterflies now! Still got quite a bit to do mainly;

Book a band for the evening reception

Order of service, menus, place names and table plan

Gifts

Veil, undies and jewellery

Gift table and cake table decorations

Page boy suit

Flower girls shoes and baskets

Paint champagne glasses for the bridal party

I'm sure there's more...

June 11th for me and as others have said I'm starting to get very nervous now.

I'm not very good at making decisions, especially as we are on a budget - I see things then think Oh I'll leave it for a bit!

Finally got my wedding Underwear which was a struggle as I need white and everything I looked at only came in Ivory - Cost me a small fortune but its lush!

Need jewellery,

FG Shoes/socks

Gifts for everyone

Need to do place cards and table plans

and choose a first dance song,

I also want to write lists of who's taking what, when and where - we are getting married 30 miles away so need to be organised

But It is very exciting ladies!!!

We get married on June 3rd!! AHHHHH!

Need to get the bridesmaids theor jewellery/gifts.

Want to get my mum something really lovely shes been so helpful through all of the planning....(Any ideas?????)

Having my hair trial tues ...very excited about this! Although need to buy some hair!!

And i prob have a million more things but i just cant think of anymore right now. Ah well im sure it will all work out in the end lol

Ive started to have little panic butterflys everytime I see my counter. It now says 76 days!

I typed up a to do list - a hopefully down to every last detail list and it filled nearly 3 A4 pages.

The main things that are worrying me right now:

• Other half and rest of male wedding party have shirt and suit but nothing else and my OH is in Ireland for the next month!
• Going for my dress alterations on the 14th - terrified Im not going to fit in my dress at all and my mum is going to hate it.
• Thought I knew what underwear I was wearing but have now seen what you guys are wearing and feel I need to try harder
• Chose veil and tiara
• Maybe buy new shoes
• Cake - decorating it myself and have done trial run but REALLY REALLY must order the plain iced sponges - havent looked into this at all.
• Table plan / name places / order of services / all other on the day stationary - Doing it myself. Need to get stuff for this!
• First dance music!
• Confirm people who are doing readings and what they are reading and translator into sign language
• Decide on what food we're having, arrange it with venue - who wont meet with us till 4wks before and havent offered tastings

However, Im sure it will all come together. It always does. its not like weddings dont happen just because someone forgot to order the cake or anything!

Oh and gifts for everyone...

Oh and book a honeymoon, or at least a night away....

June 3rd here aswell ? went for my first dress fitting yesterday, that was fun..... not ? plan for this weekend is to start putting together the wedding favour boxes.
