June 2013 bride - Finding the dress confusing.....

Miss G to be, 12 November, 2012 at 13:13 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hey!

SO wedding is set for June 2013 in Ibiza and am just finding dress shopping so confusing!

What i thought I wanted - doesnt suit me, and what i thought i definately didn't want actually looks really nice on me! The trouble is I have tried on about 25 dresses and havent had a "this is it" moment - there are 2 that i really like but both of them i want to add a few details to and have been told that this is fine.... but i just dont know what one to go for....

Should i keep waiting until i get the "this is it" feeling - or should i go for 1 of the 2 which i do feel like OMG in it but do the changes....

It is also difficult as I am a size 6/8 so the dresses dont really fit me when i try them on and having a towel stuffed down your back and clothes pegs pulling the dress together really doesnt add to the illusion of the dress.... my mum says that if i order one of the ones i love and make the changes - adding sleeves and a sash - then when i come to try it on when it comes in as made i will then get that feeling of "this is it"....

HELP PLEASE!!!!

    Hi,

I'm similar to you in that i've tried on quite a few and haven't had that feeling yet as there are things I would like to change about the dresses that I do like.

Why don't you flash the 2 that you really like and explain the extra details and someone on here may be able to help you find what you're looking for? There are so many dresses out there there's bound to be many you haven't seen

It's hard when you like a dress but they don't fit properly

I'm the opposite, I'm a 14/16 and the dresses are often way too small.

However, when I tried on my dress I loved it, felt gorgeous and thought, if I love it now, how much will I love it when it actually fits.

I tried it on in June, but kept looking as it was a tad over my budget. But nothing compared at all. I think until you have that feeling, you need to keep looking
