Yeah it does, i'm happy we have time to plan but wish it would hurry up too Smiley laugh
I'm the same kind of, booked cars properly today and have an appointment with *hopefully* tog next Saturday and then florist next Wednesday,
only bought one thing in though which is a mr & mrs sign lol..want other bits n bobs and still can't even make my mind up on what theme to stick with lol!

Ahh you can never have enough shoes Smiley winking I don't have any in yet or a dress which i'm dying to buy lol. All in good time I suppose, patience isn't my thing at all Smiley smile

You are obviously a lot more disciplined than me... our spare room is slowly being taken over by wedding bits and bobs that I can't seem to stop buying! ?

Hope your tog and florist appointments go well ;-)

Lol brilliant, I want to be like this but feel like i'm going to mismatch everything, love all the white and vintage themed stuff and wanted bird cages etc, but our colour is red and our florist is giving us red roses in bowls and things as centrepieces so want it all to match, I love black lanterns and stuff as well as our place is very old so thought it would fit in but can just imagine it all looking so odd and out of place lol. So trying to make a good decision. Hopefully when I do our bedroom will be taken over with stuff as well lol Smiley laugh What is your theme if you don't mind me asking? Smiley smile

Thank you, hopefully will get deposits paid and another thing ticked off the list Smiley smile Do you have all that sort of stuff sorted? Feel like we're quite far behind in the planning stages lol x

Your ideas sound lovely, I'm sure it will all come together really nicely and there's always Pinterest if you need any inspiration ;-)

Mine is ending up a bit mismatchy already, we are getting married in a seaside town so having a bit of a seaside theme with some of the decorations, our colours are grey and yellow with a bit of navy thrown in and me and my bridesmaids are having tea length dresses so there is a little bit of a fifties flair as well. Slightly panicking myself writing that, it sounds extremely mismatched, lol ?

We have our tog sorted ;-)

We don't need cars because the day is all in one venue and we are staying in a hotel only about 5-10 minutes walk away [i'm slightly gutted to be honest because I really wanted a VW camper, but don't think I can justify it for such a short journey, lol] I saw your cars in the other thread, they look really nice!

And I am hoping to make the bouquets and buttonholes out of fabric flowers myself and do the flowers in jam jars myself for the decorations, so no need for a florist.

Ooh joined pinterest the other day which is making me worse as there's so many lovely things haha Smiley laugh
Yours sounds amazing, sounds really nice..i love the seaside Smiley smile I'd love a tea length dress really love the style, don't think you can beat the old classic styles. Yours sounds like theres a good variety but like it'll all go really well together Smiley smile

That's great. very handy staying at the hotel..wish there was one narby our venue or would have loved if they'd have had accommodation but they sadly don't lol so will have to sort out a hotel in town somewhere probably for that night..haven't even thought that bit through that's how bad I am with the planning lol Smiley smile

The bouquet sounds great, love the button bouquets they're so pretty. We had thought about going for that or doing flowers myself then the venue gave us a good deal with their florist so just went for that, was looking forward to practising them as well lol Smiley smile

Our wedding date is 7th June 2014 Smiley smile I feel so organised, we have booked the venue and church, arranged our special license, booked florist, photographer, booked and designed our cake, sent our save the date cards, bought our table centre pieces, bought the bridesmaid dresses and Ive bought my dress! My dress is being made and I know it will be delivered to the shop in the next few weeks/months and I'm getting impatient, cant wait to see it and try it on again. My bridesmaid dresses were too much of a bargain not to snap up. We're currently looking into bands to book for the reception

Im so must of a control freak which is why I'm doing things now. I think it'll help keep me relaxed in the final few months, knowing everything is sorted. Although I am worried I'm going to run out of things to do by the end of this year and have 6 months twiddling my thumbs!! Anyone else feel like that?

    xx

Hello ladies! It's 10 months to go for us on Wednesday! And we're more or less set now. I picked up my dress from the shop so it's hanging up at my Mum's, we've booked the suits, and are having a cake tasting in a few weeks. Just the little things left to sort.

    How's everyone else getting on?

    Hello June 2014 ladies ?

    How is everyone getting on?

It feels like it is going quite quickly ever since we got past the one year mark!

Feels like there is a bit of a lull in the wedding planning stage at the moment though, all the big stuff is all sorted and it is too far away to sort other stuff so I'm just pottering on with little DIY bits.

My wedding excitement for this week was we bought a plain wooden post box for cards off eBay, we have spray painted it navy along with about half of our back yard, ooops, so just deciding what decorative touches to put to it now. I am thinking along the nautical theme since it is navy and we are having a slight seaside theme but still pondering.

What wedding planning stuff has everyone else been up to recently?

? Hello all! I'm a June 2014 bride. We are getting married on the 23rd June (I know, a Monday is a bit odd, but it's the one thing the OH insisted on as it will be our 6th anniversary that day!).

Not done much so far. Have registry office booked but can't give notice at the moment as OH has no ID. I will hopefully be booking our reception venue next week and I have technically booked my photog as it's one of my best friends. However, need to book her flights back from Canada before I feel like it's 'booked'.

Hope the planning is going well for everyone!

I'd say narrow down your favourites and chat to them, meet them in person if you can... It's really important that you have a bit of a rapport. Also make sure you have a look at examples of their complete weddings, not just their favourites on their website. Then you have an idea of what you are likely to end up with. I reckon you'll have some sort of gut feeling once you've chatted to them. Good luck! Smiley smile

Hello my fellow June 2014 brides!

How is everyone's plans coming along?

Was just wondering, those who are sending out Save the Dates... How far in advance are you sending yours out?

We're getting married a good 3 hours away from our hometown so ideally I'd like to give everyone plenty of notice?

    H x

We sent our Save the Dates out in July, simply because we wanted to get an idea of how many guests wanted to book a room for the night/weekend. I would think that you could send them out anytime now really.

We sent ours out as soon as we hit the year mark, although to be fair that was probably just because I was so excited ;-)

    Hello fellow June 2014 brides,

I am getting married on June 21 - very excited but not done much yet! Probably doesn't help that I'm organising a couple of different ceremonies! One venue is booked (the big one!) - after reading all you have done, I better get a move on! :-)

    xx

Hi, Were getting married 7th June 2014. We did save the date cards more than a year in advance as I was too excited to wait. Everything is booked, stationary is all designed. Favours and venue decorations all done... I'm struggling to find things to do. :-(

    Hi there.

The sea front will be good if it is a nice dry day ?

I have sorted - church, venue, cars, photographer, dj, singer, my dress, my hair, flowers, chair covers, honeymoon post box, sweep, sweet table.

The save the dates have gone out.

I still have to do - rings, cake, suits, bridesmaid dress, make up, shoes bridesmaid hair, jewellery.

I am in the process of sorting out invitations, order of service etc and getting all close family to book their hotel rooms

I also have to do a menu tasting and sort out drink numbers for welcome drinks.

    Am I missing anything?? xxx

This is my biggest problem at the moment, trying to chase people to book their accommodation, our wedding is in a village with several B&Bs but it is a really popular spot in the summer and they get booked up really quick so I'm stressing that if people don't get sorted soon they will miss out!

I can't see anything you've missed on your list, you look very organised ;-)

Thats my biggest problem. the accommodation, the sea view rooms are going quickly so i want to ensure close family get first pick. My mum told me tonight to stop stressing about that though and people will just get what they get.

I dont feel very organised - its all the little things that take time, there is probably 100 things that need doing x

Hello fellow June 2014 brides ?

    How is everyone getting on?

We are just starting to think about picking our rings ;-)

We have got our invites back from the printers as well and they are nearly all addressed and ready to send...

I am thinking of posting them in January with an RSVP date of March so I have plenty of time to chase up anyone that fails to respond.

When is everyone else sending their invites?

    7 months to go! ?

We've got more or less everything we can do done! Our invites are being printed at the minute. We're posting ours in January, and the RSVP is 1st March 2014 to give us chance to chase anyone who's not replied before we need to give finals numbers to the venue.

Paid off my hen weekend today, now we've just got to book activities for while we're there. Only 78 days till we go!
