Hi all

My OH and I are getting married on 20th June 2015. We are having a church ceremony at 1.30pm followed by our reception at a golf club with a sit down 3 course meal and evening buffet later! we have 50 daytime and 100 evening guests roughly and will be having a DJ for evening entertainment! Our colour scheme is shades of coral and peach! For centre pieces we are having square vases with pebbles and floating candles!

I think I will probably have an A line gown with veil, tiara and my hair down and wavy! I am hoping to have coral roses for my bouquet and other flowers. I have 5 bridesmaids and hopefully they will be wearing knee length summer dresses in coral or peach!

Not sure about cars yet, might just borrow a friend's or hire a posh taxi lol

Sorry for the information overload but I love hearing about peoples wedding details!

Any other 2015 brides want to share their plans?? ?

My hair is £120 including a trial at her salon. This includes her travel to the venue on the day. The trial is on a Sunday morning, and she says she takes as long as it needs to find the style that we want and that works, so there is no rush at all. She will stay with me on the day right up until we get married, so that she can "tweak" things for the veil etc. She also helps to get into the dress if needed.

If we want others added eg Bridesmaids, mothers, etc, then they are £25 each on the day plus £20 for a trial if they want one. She was recommended by the girls who do the make up at the venue as being someone they often work with for brides, so they are happy to work together and know how not to get in each others' way!

My make up is being done by the girls at the spa at the venue.....£30 for them to come to my room on the morning of the wedding, including a free trial a couple of weeks before.

I didn't think they were bad prices at all and certainly a lot less than I had expected. As I was quite prepared to do my own hair and make up, this is a nice treat for me.

That is a great price for make up Kimiu! I think from what my girl was saying yesterday it could be about £40-50 depending on whether we have false lashes! I'm not too sure about them though as I wouldn't normally wear them and I'm conscious that I don't want to look too different. But my MOH and the makeup girl are trying to talk me into it!

Hair prices start at £50 and I don't think I'm going for anything too elaborate so I'm hoping it won't be much more. The biggest part of it is that there is a call out charge to come to the venue. If it's ridiculous we may have to re-think our plan to stay in the hotel the night before and just go to the salon....

Hopefully the email will come soon with the quote!

I hadn't even thought about asking the girls from the hotel spa about the make up - I was going to do my own, and had had a couple of "lessons" from the Dior counter in Debenhams in preparation.....but then we went to a wedding fayre at the venue in September, and got chatting there. It made perfect sense really - they are already on site, so no travel expenses for them to factor in....just a quick walk down the corridor and up the stairs.

Re false lashes - I am tempted, but knowing my luck they will dislodge and I will end up with wonky eyes, or lashes stuck to my cheeks....or worse, H2B will end up with them stuck to his cheeks as they announce he can kiss his bride!!! I think I'll just stick with a double application of mascara!!!

Oooh I love, love, love the bridesmaid dress! It's beautiful!

And a croquembouche would be my first choice for a cake if we weren't having such a huge amount of people to feed! I love them and they look SO amazing.

Everything looks so pretty - are you making your invitations yourself? I love the detail on the front!

    Its all coming together!!

i might have to do a little flash my self soon! x

The invitations come without any embellishments on them so I can add whatever I like :-) and the company will print the inserts for me too

    Flash away Smiley laugh

Your dress wasn't on there = have you taken it down already?!

I'm loving the rest of it - your locations are stunning! Everything is beautiful, so if your dress is half as nice it will be lovely too! (would still like to see it though haha!!).

Since taking a photo of me in the store sample on Friday, I have a renewed desire to do what I can to look my best in it. Gym classes are booked now until Christmas week, and I've stocked up on soups for lunch at work to keep me warm and full and hopefully less likely to snack.....

Judging by what people have flashed so far, we are going to have a month of beautiful weddings next June!!

I've been waiting for the 6 month mark to do a proper flash but I might do that on the main board but give you guys a sneak preview!

    Here goes!

    Ceremony venue

    Room we get ready in

    My Dress

    Shoes

Bridesmaid dress (not with red shoes - just using those for height!)

Hair inspiration will be a little mix of these ( one that I've stolen from another bride who posted here last week but it's beautiful!!)

    Reception venue outside

And in - it will look something like this hopefully!

This picture does it no justice at all as it looks quite dark but all the other photos I can find are from pro Togs and I'm not sure I can flash them...?

Oh my goodness - I could go on for ever but I think that's the main things for now!

Oh, another beautiful wedding in the mix, Pipsy it is all beautiful!

I'm thinking of doing a proper 6 month flash on the main board too....other than the occasional specific shoe or dress related flash, I've only flashed on this thread, but I love seeing everyone else's so hopefully they'll love seeing ours too! It's a good way to get inspiration - I never realised that I could do "bridal" hair with my bobbed cut, until someone flashed theirs!

I won't go overboard on my diet/exercise - but I do need to keep things in check. I've been a good couple of dress sizes bigger in the past, and equally have been a good couple of stone lower in weight and didn't look healthy either way....so it's more a case of staying the weight that I am (I don't actually get on the scales any more, I just go by how my clothes fit) and working on the bingo wings and other wobbly bits that the gym sorts out. I'm more aware, I think, of the fact that I can EASILY put on a stone if I am stressed just by eating the wrong things and exhausting myself so I don't exercise, and that will not only make the dress less flattering than I know it can be, but it will make me FEEL really meh which isn't the frame of mind I want to be in during the planning, and on the day itself.

Its complicated, but hopefully you get the idea! I'm actually quite comfortable with how I am right now. But I like cake. And wine. And Christmas food. And....and.....and.......and then my dress will be in the shop in January haha!!!

I've put in my request for blue skies and sunshine for the whole of June. Rain has been requested for a couple of hours overnight, just so that the gardens can be kept lush, but during waking hours, the deposit has been paid for fine weather.....?

Oh, if only it were that easy!!

We are having a bit of a rollercoaster of a week - venue gave us company for toilet hire (annoyingly they didn't build 13th century barns with them in!) and table and chair hire - but toilet company is fully booked our weekend - ensue's mad evening of finding companies and requesting quotes.

I've booked a dress day on saturday - little bit worried as going to the known snooty place in town they could only fit me in on the coture floor where dresses start from £1800!!!!! I'm so glad I'm only going to actually try on styles of dresses - hopefully won't get too annoyed at the snootyness!

Just go in telling them that you have no budget to stick to and that you could buy any dress from there that takes your fancy. Let them treat you as you should be treated...and be as snooty to them as you like if they start! Go on...I dare you to start practicing perfecting the art of looking down your nose.....!!

    Yup, that's the idea!

You just need to come up with phrases such as "we're not thinking of a budget, it's more about finding the right dress"....that way, you don't lie, but you just don't tell them the real situation!

Just caught up with you fabulous ladies!!

I have to say everything looking amazing for June!!! It going to be a super pretty June around these parts!

FutureMrsB: Your venue its stunning, that room you getting ready in WOW!!! its beautiful!! Love the blue orchids!! my nan is obsessed with Orchids they are stunning though. Again I love your invitations, love the lazer cut invites love the pearl embellishments!!

Pipsybus: I love you venue!! its sooo pretty!! Dress is stunning and those shoes are amazing!! are they Ted Baker? They never had my size when I looked Smiley sad

Kimiu: Can I join in on the weather request? hehe!! I hate the thought of having rain on my wedding day Smiley sad Anyway on a brighter note your dress looks fab!!! I love your hair piece that's stunning!! Im back on the fitness and healthy eating bus after 2 weeks of dropping off for no other reason that just shear laziness, but back on it and already feeling better Smiley smile

ScottishSarah: I completely agree with Kimiu, if they want to be snooty with you two can play that game hehe!!

Oooo ladies everythings looking amazing, and our tickers seem to have gone from 7 months to almost 6 in no time, its flying by, I'm super excited!! I haven't done much weddingy related things recently, I nearly had a heart attack when I found out my hairdresser is expecting, although super excited for her she's due around my wedding or so I thought, she messaged me saying she's due in April, she's taking 6 weeks off and will be there for my wedding I nearly cried with happiness!!!

Designed my evening invitations during my lunch at work yesterday and order of services briefly, I really need to get the card ordered so I can print them all off although im still currently laptopless Smiley sad Iv done the designing on Microsoft publisher but my laptop didn't have publisher, anyway my friend said she had a copy and I could use it, it wasn't a ligament copy but she said she has it on her computer and it works perfectly, that's how my laptop broke its uninstalled all the drivers for everything everything!! I don't even know what that means all I know is my laptop is currently no use than a bloody ornament right now Smiley sad

Wow sorry ladies I just realised how long this post got!! I really shouldn't leave it so long between posts..

    lots of love ❤️

What make is your laptop? If it's Dell you can go on their website and download the drivers. You will probably have to use someone elses computer to do it and put them onto a USB memory stick and then upload them to your laptop. If you need any help give me a shout and I'll help you :-)

I'm glad someone else is giving helpful advice on the IT stuff - I wouldn't know where to start!!

TheFutureMrsB, those bridesmaids dresses are absolutely beautiful. Love both of them, and don't think you can go wrong with either really! Really really lovely.

I'll be getting ready in my hotel suite - there will be plenty of fizz going if anyone wants to join us. Might be a bit far to go between their and your respective ceremony venues, but the offer is there for you to partake if you wish

Nothing weddingy happening here, other than walking in today and putting another £5 in the cake envelope haha! Oh, and putting some gradual fake tan on to try and cover the tan lines I developed from cycling during the summer.....although it is trying to hide them ahead of a ball next weekend, as I was slathering it on, I did think to myself that this is something I will have to be thinking of in good time for the wedding! I will be wearing either long sleeves or boob tubes throughout the spring of 2015, and need to take note of how effective the tan is for the ball next week, and how likely it is to rub off onto the fabric....I don't really fancy orange streaks on my beautiful dress!!!

    First world wedding problems, hey!!!!!
