Doesn't clash with the wedding but there will be one, maybe two games whilst we're on honeymoon depending on what date we go. Not too bad I suppose!

One of my friends got engaged this year and was under strict instructions not to book the wedding next summer. Or any weekend on which his team plays in any year. That pretty much rules out most of a year doesn't it? Honestly, if my H had given me rules like that I think I might have told him where to go lol.

I purposefully booked the last weekend before the world cup started - did not want to be upstaged by Wayne Rooney on my wedding day ?

The first England match (vs the USA) is when we will be in california on our honeymoon so that could be interesting!

Just been reading all ur post and got really worried for a minute! but feeling better now asked OH when england was playing and it is the day before the wedding! We are getting married the 19th of june. but just thought that it could still be bad news if OH endup in town the day before the wedding to watch football... and turn up still drunk/hangover on the wedding day Smiley sad

Arghhhhhhhhh more things to worry about Smiley sad

We booked on the 17th to escape the damn world cup.. figured that even if we didnt get an England game people would still be interested as it may affect who england played next for the semi's (as if they'll get there!) anyway that was how we planned it..

I did actually take it into consideration - I wanted to go after it ideally! tbh I think if we'd gone for a world cup game I'd have probably provided a video screen - I think it's so important to so many people you don't want people on little radios/constantly checking the results on their phone!

I booked our wedding in July so that it wouldnt clash with west ham fixtures ( were both season ticket holders) July 10th is the date for the 3rd and 4th place game so I should be ok!
