just a quick question for those who are just having a buffet........

Im having a sit down meal and a buffet.... but in a previous life I worked in a hotel where there were many weddings. Most people tend to have a later wedding service...between 3 - 4.30 kind of time then have an early buffet anywhere between 5.30 - 7. This way your guests would have ate lunch prior to your wedding but also wont be hungry come 10 oclock. Hope this helps!

I posted similar to this earlier. We got married at 4pm, pictures, posh buffet and cake at 6pm, speeches, disco at 7pm, and buffet was left out to nibble.

Im still trying to plan my day properly as only want to have one buffet, mainly for budget reasons!

Im thinking get married about 3pm, get to the wedding reception for 4-4.30 after pics ofcourse, get everyone seated for 5ish, have speeches, pref open the buffet about 6ish cut the cake after about 7-7.30 give everyone their bit then first dance at 8pm then party on

As ive never thought of planning a wedding, or even been to a wedding in my adult life!! I have no idea what happens at what times, so like you am relying on hitched lol xx
