Just booked our mini-moon!

Today is a good day for wedding planning and I'm sorry for bragging but I've had a crap week and now I can be positive about something!Got my Rachel Simpson shoes at a (slightly) reduced cost and have just booked our mini-moon.

We've also gone completely against what we initially wanted, around 4 nights away in Scotland or the Lake District in a posh cottage with hot tub. Turns out these are all way over priced or already booked up, so we've decide to go to Amsterdam! Flights with KLM and 4 nights in a swish hotel on the outskirts for just over £500 for the two of us. Not bad, eh?

Best thing about it is my OH found it, he never takes an interest in holiday or wedding planning so this is a first.

Forgot to say, it's our mini-moon as we don't have the cash or the time off work to do what we really want for our proper honeymoon- two weeks in Japan. So we're saving up and doing that for our first anniversary.

Ooh, yay! Sounds great, and 2 weeks in Japan for your anniversary does too! Lovely that h2b found it too, its nice when they get excited and interested :-)

Hot tub! Amazing!!! Bring on champers and hot tub, you'll need time to chill after the wedding and that sounds sweet!

Sorry Laura, no hot tub for us. Perhaps I didn't phrase it clearly in the original post. We wanted a cottage to ourselves with private hot tub in this country. Ended up with a hotel with no hot tub in Holland. Still happy with our choice but its amazing how much decent cottages are in the UK.
