23 days!!! ? ARGH!!!! So much to do. I feel like nothing is final. Anybody got any words of wisdom to stop me from panicing myself into an early grave??!! What should I be doing at this point? Anybody got any great ticky off sheets? ?

Scared and excited.

It's only a few hours until Gin o'clock. A medicinal beverage might help.

In the meantime, why not let us know what's still to do and I'm sure we can point you in the right direction!

I know how you feel. I've only just got engaged and have set the date for the end of Feb (I had some ridiculous idea about a whirlwind winter wedding but am regretting it now). I just keep telling myself that as long as we both relax enjoy it nothing else really matters. Good luck...

What?? Flippin ek! I don't think I could plan in a few months. You're right though, as long as you enjoy it and you get married then what does it matter?

Well, the 'to do' list is quite long. It's little things like trying to find fur type coats for my little flower girls and similar or big warm shawls for the older ones and me. Then there's chasing up people who haven't RSVPed and descovering that loads of people can't actually make it. Numbers are sorted for the day, just worrying about the night. Ooo, what else. Table decorations, still got to decide what to have (although we think we might know kind of what we would like, it's just getting them sorted). Oh, and I need a hoop for my dress. And then there's the dads' suits. My dad is quite large so finding a reasonably priced suit that will fit both my dad and OH's dad is proving difficult. I think I might have found one in M&S but will have to ring round local stores to see if they've got any. I can get them off the net but would prefer to take the dads in to try them on if possible.

There's loads more stuff that needs doing and we have a 'to do' list but I'm worried I've forgotten something.

Rope in the Bridesmaids & family & delegate jobs for them to do.

What kind of centrepieces are you looking for?

We were hoping for candles and then our venue dropped on us the other week that they had to be covered so now we're planning on a trip to Ikea as we bought a load of long candles in green and black but need tall vases for them to go in now. Also we might just get a load of gerberas and put single flowers in shot glasses. Just something simple.

I know exactly how you feel - we've got 16 days left and I'm freaking out ?

Most of my to do list is finalising details with suppliers and confirming things. This includes chasing the DJ, finalising ceremony details with registrar, sorting final numbers with the caterer etc. Have you done your seating plan? This has taken AGES so def get it started in draft as soon as you can.

Otherwise we've got lots of faffy jobs like making tealight holders but I've decided I don't care if that doesn't get done, no one will know. I'm looking at the big picture now ?

Best of luck, you'll be fine. My best bit of advice is to make one big master list and just work from that so you don't loose track. Mine is pinned up on my kitchen door!

    Thanks girlies.

Sunshine, you must be soooo excited. Not long now. I think I might write up a big list and stick it on the living room wall. I see you're oop north, where are you getting married then? We're getting married at Durham uni (St Hild & St Bede).

Oh yeah, seating plan, I can tick that off the list. We sorted it last week. It didn't take as long as I thought but I had to ring family to help though and see who they thought would be best with who.

The list has been a really good way to focus attention and because it's right there, OH has been paying attention to it too which is good. Put dates on it for payment and things too. You'll get there, honestly! We had SO much more on it nine days ago, you'll be surprised how quickly you get through things.

We're getting married in York ? I've only been to Durham once but we walked up around the uni, it's beautiful! Will be perfect for winter ?
